Juando Pass : X164 Mercedes GL450

Solo trip testing out the capabilities of my 2012 GL450 at Juando Pass Trail in Anthony, Texas. Didn't get to complete the trail but still got a good taste of the environment.
Camera does not do justice to how steep many parts of this trail were. Very impressed with the GL450's traction system. (No diff-locks -No off road package).
Completely stock other than 275/55/r20 Cooper Discoverer Road and Trail A/T.

Good Job! Love to see other X164 drivers going off road. I have a 2012 GL350 and take it out onto service roads in the Vancouver area with rooftop tent occasionally. I wish I had the extended off-road package but just the 4MATIC gets me to most places.
Unbeatable to go 1000kms with one tank on a road trip.

I have the one with the "Offroad-Paket" here, not too rare here in Germany. (but way more expensive than the 450s you have there in the USA) I'm exicted to see what youre achieving over there!

well done , mate , i have a 2006 gl500 which im planning a trip across the Simpson desert in Australia this year , 600 klms and 1100 sand dunes to cross, you vi d does inspire me , thx for posting , cheers
