Thank you. I recently started renting a home from a man who speaks Mandarin, very little English. Communication is key and I appreciate those of you that are willing to help the rest of us learn the #1 spoken language in the world. ❤️
love the casual way of teaching Mandarin, the tone is indeed a super tricky part in Chinese Mandarin study process. Especially the third tone and I always tell my students to make effort to nod the head and lift the head again when pronouncing the third tone lol Thanks for spreading beautiful Chinese language to the world and inspiration. I'm inspired to make Chinese teaching vids to contribute too
I'm trying to learn Chinese because I'm currently into Cdrama..and I would love to watch it and understand it even when there are no subtitles available.

I just came back from Hong Kong, and it inspired me to learn Mandarin and I’m so excited to get started. This video definitely gave me some tips! Xie Xie!
I’ve watched 3 of your videos and have committed several phrases to memory already. You teach in a very relaxed and familiar way through how a natural conversation would take place. Thank you for sharing, you are an excellent teacher! -from South Carolina
I've started a Chinese Course because I put a goal in my 55 years old life, that I would learn the very first level, and now I am following your lessons too, and are extremly easy and simple. Well done. Regards from Italy.
I’m so thankful for your teaching! I’ve always wanted a native teacher 👩🏫 from Taiwan!! I’m interested in Chinese classical writings which required knowledge of Traditional mandarin 👍
Wow, this was excellent for a first time beginner! May be the pace is a little bit fast at times though, it would help to slow down a little bit. But I really like the way you continually revise and summarize what is being taught, it is a great way to learn.
I admire your approach! I have recommended you to a young friend ( 16 yr old 中國被收養人) who is anxious to learn her native tongue. I am a former USAF Chinese linguist (73 yr old) and I, too, enjoy keeping current. Many thanks for your efforts.
This has helped me so much, thank you. I use duolingo and other platforms to learn Chinese but I still have a hard time trying to pronounce certain sounds and this has been really helpful. One of the sounds I struggled with was 人 but you covered that in the video. Another one I am struggling with is 鱼。
I love this video but I'm struggling with "ren". 😅 Should the first letter sound closer to an English "r" or a "j"? I know it's not either one but sometimes it sounds different to me depending who says it.
Very good teaching technique! I was very surprised that one can make real Chinese phrases with the basic vocabulary that is taught at the beginning of the video. Please continue making videos like this one. Thank you!
