I was curious what those arcade passes were worth, so I tracked it down. The arcade is Gaming Zone in Phoenix, which charges 10 bucks to enter their arcade. So if you actually like going to their arcade (and it's a REALLY nice one for the size), you get half your money back on these.
I've bought two Mystery Boxes I thought were worth it, and they were both from stores that actually give you more than the value of the box itself. These things are almost universally a scam, but Merchandise Monkey had good ones. It's a shame they don't seem to even exist anymore.
