So lovely to hear your voice again and so glad you're back. You've got so many wonderful projects to cast on, it's very exciting. I'm particularly drawn to Zig Zag lace, it's gorgeous!!! I can't wait to see what you make 😀
So nice to hear from you again! Hopefully whatever you make for "summer" you don't throw out of your winter wardrobe. I find my 4ply vintage garments are still staples in winter, i just wear them with thermals under or a coat over. In Brisbane i would think they would get more wear that way as it probably is a bit hot for wool in summer? That said, i know i do wear my vintage wool things in Adelaide summer, but mainly the short sleeves ones. I'm really looking forward to seeing how your 3ply knits up. I was thinking of buying some but i have enough stash. I was actually thinking to specifically try the classic because i have found the luxury to be maybe a little too soft and pilly, whereas my hard-wearing british lambswool cones have been producing garments that don't pill at all. Anyhoo, really looking forward to seeing your next project when you are able to get started again!
It’s such a hard decision! I don’t have any green knitwear so I’m actually thinking of starting with the pistachio shade 🥰 Wonderful, I’m about to move house to somewhere with no built-ins, so if I don’t do it now, I won’t for some time! Thank you for your comment :)
Hi I love the Bendigo yarn for knitting vintage. I'm in the midst of knitting the Homefront jumper from squidknits. I'm knitting it from the 4ply luxury from Bendigo in navy blue. Thanks for stating the yarn your going to knit in your up and coming projects but also the ply and the color. It really allows me to see the colors and patterns that you have chosen. I love the colors you have picked and those same colors look good on me , so looking forward to your next video.
I love using them for vintage patterns too! The tension is so easy to match with the pattern I want to knit, I just wish they had a better range of colours :)
@@vintageknittingparty I agree more colors please, especially in the 3,4,and 5 ply. I don't think I'd buy 2 ply. 🤔 I love pink but in the 5 ply there's only one offering. I love the colors you choose. I live in the Pacific Northwest USA 🇺🇸 and Bendigo yarn is wonderful, affordable and love quality. I plan to buy more especially if they widen their color range. I did have them included a color chart in my shipment. Really nice because sometimes screens are off color and you might miss a yellow undertone..
Lovely video, I really like the colours and patterns that you chose! Would you be open to making a video on gauge and vintage patterns and how to interpret it, how to choose the right yarn and needles etc? I'm a beginner knitter and I want to get into vintage knitting but I'm finding it a bit overwhelming.
Yay welcome back ! Love the projects and colours you picked and can’t wait to see them come to life! Also, those lemonade socks 😍😍 I’d also definitely be interested in your wardrobe swap video, I love these kind of things ☺️
Thank you so much for your beautiful comment!! I missed TH-cam so much! Haha wonderful, if I can figure out how to film it I’ll do a wardrobe video :) Have a lovely day! ❤️
I would love to hear about your wardrobe building process. I am currently working on the long process of crafting my own sustainable and thoughtful wardrobe. I am trying to go slow and make things myself or thrift high quality items as much as I can while making sure that any items I do remove from my wardrobe don't do into a landfill. ❤
I think that’s a lovely idea, thrifting is the best ❤️ I would definitely like to make a video on this, how I defined my style, where I get secondhand clothing and what I choose to make etc. I think it’s also important to remember that the journey is never meant to end, so you don’t ever have to be perfect :)
Hi Lauren, currently I am updating my summer wardrobe with crocheted t shirts I cotton/acrylic blend, not expensive from Spotlight. Here in Victoria the heat is rarely as extreme as Brisbane.

I don't envy you having to decide which sweater to knit first- they're all so beautiful! And yes please, a wardrobe episode would be fab.
