Man,this is so nice. For as much as the usual "you come to another world and you just know how to understand everyone" trope can be nice,and makes everything way easier,not having that leaves space for a lot of nice wholesome moments in situations like this,where the characters try their hardest to still understand each other. And leave space for many cute moments too! Just look at mary. Really hoping for more soon.
It's actually frustrating as hell. And it's a relatable frustration because of the damn broken English some people try to pawn off as a translation. Or even worse, a LITERAL translation. Then you have to worry about dumbass customs and idioms that make no fucking sense. ( "Your a green tea mouth girl!" I don't even fucking drink tea, why would I know what that means and why should anyone know what that means, but translators try to force the meaning on you instead of just giving the English equivalent. ) And the worst part is they end the series without Ren or Mary ever actually full being able to understand each other. I kind of sympathize with Mary's sentiment of "if you were going to leave one day, why the hell even come in the first place?"
I mean for him there was kind of multiple problems with that. A) it seems like his wasn’t the most common B) he was holed up in the castle for a while and the recalled him in case he ever went missing so he, more likely than not, couldn’t find a translation C) I doubt that what could probably considered common tongue would have a translation for his native language
@@WhatsJamesName Language is learned by signs and context clues, he is still a kid so by living long enough with her he'd naturally learn it, but not fast enough for how little the story has lasted so far
This isekai manga is very Realistic, because language problem compare to other isekai where there is no language problem they can understand Japanese and English, also he's just normal person
