    I really like listening to Scott talk cards it’s a lot of fun they should be like skit that happens on every show where Scott calls in and gives like a side story about some cards that were talking about and it’s like a 45 second like impromptu Scott church calls and done so I think you should make that happen Matt

      I was a at a function where Vaughn Armstrong was signing and had two jumbo CCG cards: one as a Hirogen and another one as a Borg. One of my favorite pieces.

    This is really nice. It is a hard time for the collectors these days. I was a first day player of this game right till the verry last day the cards where sold. I am happy to say that i have several of each card printed in my collection and playsets. I am only missing a few tournament foils that where given out to winners of them. I find those harder to get then any other you can pull from a booster.
    Second, we still play 3-4 times a year, but then sealed and sometimes rainbow (1 booster from each set) sealed. We recently did that and we pulled a fed reliant, foil picard and non foil future enterprise and UR Spock....
    A few years back we hoarded alot of booster boxes and we probaly have 5-6 cases left from TMP. But the hardest to get is Blaze of Glory heads on... Impossible to get and we only have 5 boosterboxes left.
    Anyway, good luck hunting to you all :)

    I enjoy hearing more about stccg 1e like this. I've heard a lot of the decaren cards have either been signed or there was talk about people frisbee'ing them at one of the shows when they was handed out so maybe they got damaged. I don't normally watch discussions like this but this was really good. I'm at 8/10 of the cards currently so nearly there. Wish they did more of the 1e the enterprise cards as its a great set coming up in value.

    I have all except for the oversized Decaren. I had one in the early twenties but sold it then for a little less then $300. And Chase Masterson was awesome indeed, I met her at the Decipher booth at a European convention. Good times and cool video guys!

    My bro and I played this in the mid 90s. First with the base set with white borders. I remember Kevin Uxbridge being op. Should have held onto all those black border expansion cards we were ripping later on oof 😅

    Nice video Matt, really enjoying all your stuff.
    I was the one that Scott mentioned at buying that Dixon Hill for 165, no idea how I got it so low, plus got a whole box of Holodeck Adventure way below what I was expecting as well. I've been very actively keeping my eye on STCCG these last 5-6 years on ebay and I almost never see boxes of First Contact up for sale anymore. I think pretty quickly here its going to be right up there with DS9 or Blaze of Glory in price.
    I see that you've got some content up about LOTR TCG, just wondering if you've looked into Middle Earth CCG at all? I never played it as a kid so its got no nostalgic value for me but the art work in amazing, everything drawn pre Peter Jackson's stuff. Its right up there with STCCG and SWCCG for me, went pretty heavy into getting sealed product 3-4 years ago.

    Several 2nd Edition tournament promo cards are around $1000 each, IF you can even find them. Many of those promos have had zero for sale in the last 5 years, and maybe 1 or 2 for sale in the last 15 years.

  • @DJGigabyte
    @DJGigabyte ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Very sweet video! Unless I missed something, these cards were all from the 1st Edition of the game right? Was that a choice where only the most expensive from 1st Edition were picked, or are there simply no cards in 2nd Edition that are valuable enough to make the Top 10 list?

    Another rarity is the 'white test card', or in swccg parlance, white blank card. For whatever reason, these were much rarer in stccg than in swccg. They have been sold for ~$700 in the last year or so when they came up. Interesting video. Thanks

    Great video! I didn't realize how expensive The Motion Pictures R+ cards had gotten. I thought cards like the HMS Bounty and Dr. Gillian Taylor were around $50, not over $200! I need to look up how much the rest of the big cards from that set and Holodeck Adventures are going for.
    Question for Scott, why do you think the Enterprise Collection hasn't appreciated in value the same way that All Good Things did? Did Decipher make a lot more of it or is it less popular for some reason?

    • @barrywade3774
      @barrywade3774 ปีที่แล้ว

      My guess is that the Enterprise Collection is less known, less useful for players AND less popular for collectors since the series was less successful than the others.

    • @StephenWSanders
      @StephenWSanders ปีที่แล้ว

      @@barrywade3774 I think less known and less popular with collectors is probably right. Its arguably more useful for players than AGT since all of the Ent bridge crew are really OP and form the backbone of a pretty decent affiliation.

      Perhaps that’s what they’re listed on eBay at a buy it now or graded but keep in mind that you can list whatever price you want. Doesn’t mean folks are buying it. There’s currently 2 in stock at category one games for $225 a piece. Don’t spend $350-$500 on it.

    My brother got All good Things and I got the Enterprise Collection. Guess who came out ahead.

    • @StephenWSanders
      @StephenWSanders ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I know the feeling. I was at Comic Con San Diego with my best friend. Decipher had a booth and were selling All Good Things. He got a box, I passed and spent my money on LOTR TCG. Some packs from Towers block I think. I figured I could always get AGT later. He's still got his AGT set to this day and I'm still kicking myself about that choice. Funny thing: the day he got it he cracked it and opened all of the STCCG Reflections packs that came inside and every pack had a foil Borg Cube dilemma. He was so salty about the poor collation of those packs. Didn't realize how much the premium cards would appreciate.

    • @barrywade3774
      @barrywade3774 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@StephenWSanders Yeah the foil distribution in the Refections packs in those was horrible. My brother pulled 7 Elim Garrak in his 10 packs and another friend of mine got 6 copies of Horgan in his!
      At least I can say that due to a mailing error I was double shipped and ended up with 2 copies of the Enterprise Collection.
