Makkah is also referred to as “Paran” in the Bible. While we do not confirm that “Paran” is an old name of Makkah, it still refers to it given the associated indications and implications. So, we are not sure if “Paran” is actually an old name of Makkah or the word “Makkah” was deleted and replaced with “Paran”.
The Bible tells us that a well of water gushed out in the Desert of Paran, from which Hagar drank and gave her son Ishmael to drink. This consists with the above verses making mention of the Valley of Baka which is made into a place of springs. So, the Bible tells us about a well of water gushing out in the Valley of Baka and the Desert of Paran as well. We read:

Brother you are merly talking on research of Dan Gibson and want to prove that original Kaba was in Petra rather than Mecca...
1. What written evidences have you got from entire 1400 years old history?
2. If Ibne Zubair did shift Kaba from Meccca to petra then why didn't Ommyad shift it again from Mecca to petra whereas even they reigned for 100s of years after death of Ibn e Zubair?
What about Mosques built by Umayyad in Qartaba and 100s of other places pointing towards Mecca?
Why did Muhammad Bin Qasim who was subordinate of Hijaj Bin Yousaf Build mosque in Sindh Pakistan and pointed its Qibla to Mecca?
Why the first battle with Quraish from Mecca was fought in Badr which is towards South of Madina and Petra is on West of Madina..? Do you want to.say that Quraish travelled from west to South and took turn to West and then fought battle with Muslims at Badr????
Why all mosques in Madina are pointed towards Mecca and not to petra?
Why the Graves of all at Madina, even the oldest ones at other places are constructed with face of deadbodies to Mecca..and not to tally opposite direction of Petra..?
As for your question is concerned regarding Why would Allah put its people in hardship to watch ruins of previous nations day and night at far places....I must say that you are ignoring that fact that Quran is the only book which is meant for Hadaya of humanity till day of judgement and not only for people who were there in Mecca.
One more thing which you admitted that people didn't have television and also didn't have aeroplanes to watch these places....yes you are right people even didn't have trigonometric calculations and sophisticated compasses through which they could find accurate direction of Kaba.....

Petra and Makkah are two different cities with different histories. Petra is an ancient city that is in no way related to the birth of Islam in my opinion 🙏🏾
Mecca is not birth place of muhammad.
Mecca didn't exist when Arabs created Islam in 7th century.
Note one point . There was no masque,, no Muslim in Jerusalem at the time of muhmmad. Al Aksha masque was built when Hajjaj bin yusuf conquered Jerusalem 200 years later. So history of islam is full of contradiction s . Safa and marva mountain s in present day Mecca are just heap of some boulders few feet height. Even they have been covered. Therefore these are models not the original mountain's so high that army men could hid behind them . Moreover Mecca was not on any the trade rout emanating either from China or India. Mecca had no sufficient water source to sustain population of so called mother of all cities Bekka. It is clearly proved from recently found evidence that Islam originated in North Arab I.e. Jorden. Qur'an was compiled 200 years after the muhmmad . Present day Qur'an is compiled by Al akhir university cahira in 1924 .
