I was at this game with my Dad, Sister, Uncle, and Grandparents! I was 11 years old :) I just remember the deafening Lion roar and how big the Pontiac Silverdome looked from the highway.
Isn't it crazy that in the league this year, you had Marcus Allen, Barry Sanders, AND Emmitt Smith all playing? When their careers were all said and done, those three guys had 386 rushing TD's between them.
Classic NFL on NBC Week 14 Thanksgiving Thursday Nov 28 1996 1230 ET kick-off Silverdome - Attendance - 75,079.... Chiefs Greg Hill would finish his career with Lions in 1999
I remember this game, everyone wanted Bono benched for weeks and this was Gannons first start. Sadly it was his only win cause the defense fell apart that year.
I think it was Elvis Gerbac that was injured and Rich Gannon filled in to get to playoffs. Then Marty put Gerbac back in.i believe Gannon could of took the Chiefs to the Super Bowl that Year
It’s easy to say how but damn why did we bring Grbac in instead of promoting Gannon to starting QB? He came in the next season when Grbac was injured and was outstanding. Man I love Marty but Gannon should have started that playoff game against Denver
@@mattneal5257 The word on the street is it wasn't Martys call and Peterson made him put Grbac back in. one of the things that KC sports its infamous for is playing a guy just because they are paying him. smh
I was born in the early 90s. To this day my favorite Steelers season is 2001. There's just something about 90s-2001 football that was just so awesome. After that things seemed to change rapidly. Part of that is legends like Barry Sanders, Troy Aikman, Dan Marino, John Elway, Jerry Rice and others retiring in the late 90s-early 00s.

I was at this game with my, sister and grand parents. I was 6. I’ll never forget. Seeing Barry was a gift
I was at this game. I just turned 6. Some of my first memories. I remember most of these plays. Ahh good times

and they were all playing on this particular day on Thanksgiving
It’s so weird to watch a game without the score box always on the screen. Always being able to see the score is kind of awesome

Marcus Allen vs Barry Sanders. Both are Heisman Trophy winners and Hall of Famers.
Also, league MVP
Can we get more barry sanders games?
Another good choice, Bart.
The annual Thanksgiving Day classic. Detroit played Kansas City in 1971,1981 1987 Thanksgiving classic.
Pretty icy handshake there between Marty and Wayne

Okay I was wrong it was Bono

Do you have the Dallas @ San Francisco Week 3 2005 game or the Dallas @ Oakland Week 4 2005 game? Been searching those out for a long time.

Thanks for that game. Week 5 is next week. Try to upload the Vikings Giants game (2007) by next week.
May you please post the 1999 nfc championship game Tampa bay Buccaneers vs rams.
i've tried, TH-cam always blocks it. i have it on another site: www.bitchute.com/video/OFQBsge19KOi/
@@frankiesacco wow! Thank you for the link to that site! You have some incredible games on there!
I wish i was born in the 90s. I had to be born in 2004.
Same dude!
Nfl was better then imo.

This was my first game
We shouldn’t never got rid of Rich Gannon
I still have my ticket stub!
If injuries hadn't derailed Rich Gannon, he could have played into his 40s the way Brady is now
Not likely. Brady’s 40s coincided with the league becoming softer than Charmin toilet paper. When Gannon was in his 40s you could still hit people
Can you post some of the 2012 falcons games.
Chiefs always had a weak offense that couldn't help the stout defense in the 90's
Needed a QB.
They had Montana in 94, but he retired, had a legend and they let him retire, I would have offered him a huge contract to keep going.
Yeah, and when their offense became fabulous in the early to mid-2000s the defense couldn't keep pace.
Wayne Fontes always looked stressed.
57:34 Barry Should have just ran the ball
53:56 You’re welcome
