I find this a really interesting topic too! Especially as I am very nostalgic and like the older dolls. It's fun to talk about how things used to be. Also you three are looking so cute!
Thank youuuu ❤️ Oh yeah! I also felt nostalgic. I thought to myself that it would be super fun video to make with ur doll friends, together talking about what it used to be like, and reminiscing about black platform boots and delfs 😆
I’ve only been on the hobby for a year and you’re a big inspiration! Mi sister asked me what was my top dream in the hobby and I showed her your dollhouse video! 💪🏼🥰🙏🏽 you do amazing work! Thanks!!! 💕💐
You make really interesting points! I'm getting back into it looking at my first doll compared to my newest and the style is completely changed. No more goth or dark frowned sculpts. I want happy smiling sculpts with bright colored clothing.
It's sounds like you have been in the hobby as long as I have. I started my collection at the end of 2008, and I can really relate to everything you said. Iplehouse was my starter company before they got bigger and more popular. But there are so many more companies now, it seemed like there were maybe 10 back then. A LOT of Luts and Volks dolls, which you don't really see as many of anymore. I feel like the hobby has really shifted into a more DIY direction and has given a lot of people multiple outlets to express creativity. Company faceups seem pretty rare these days. Sometimes I do think about some of the people I used to follow on Deviantart or Flickr and wonder if they still have dolls and what they are doing. I think I will always have a few dolls knocking around though.
I had a good giggle when you mentioned the Dollheart fer, it was quite a big hit back then lol. We had a whole thread of speculations for the Monthly Soom, trying to imagine how they would interepret the zodiac signs !
@@Pinktezka Maybe alpaga? They were all the rage at some point (and I was like "why" because I don't like how they look and a lot of ppl are allergic to them^^;)
This was so interesting thanks for this breakdown of the history of BJDs in the last 10 years. I also find this topic to be so interesting. I am relatively new to the hobby having collected since about 2016. I started with the realistic dolls from Iplehouse, which I still love. I have noticed that there are more male BJDs being created by more companies such as Sartoriaj as well as the 'single' artist type company like Pasha Pasha, LLT, Agatti, and so many more. I have been keeping my eye on a few of these artist dolls, but have not yet jumped in partly because they can be hard to get. I also agree with your assessment of Instagram- it is very sad to follow a particular person but then rarely see their posts, instead see adverts or other posts that I don't even follow! I wonder if the rise in popularity of this hobby has led to the greed factor that can infect any successful interest! Anyway really enjoyed your talk!
This topic is something i do actually think about a lot. I cant talk about past in the bjd since i was not there, but i always felt it old fashioned and baby faces, thank god they decided to go on a more casual and mature style.

I am relatively new to the BJD hobby. This was a great topic. A little a bit of history for me. ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you, Im glad you enjoyed it
You look gorgeous in glasses! They are very good for you! What's your prescription for glasses?
Thank you very much, I’m so used to them, I don’t actually mind, just wish they did not make my eyes smaller 😆 I have around -15 on both eyes
@@Pinktezka Can you make a video about your vision, about
your glasses?))
@@davidbarnes9567 Sorry, not really, I only talk about dolls on this channel, also I Dont even know what would I say ther. lol :D
@@Pinktezka I in any case thanks for the answer. You have a great channel!)
Definitely agree with style. I miss the old days of deviantArt. I met 90% of my friends there 😂 I also felt it was easier to follow people.
But u meet me in Instagram, so its better 😆❤️
Your dolls and you so pretty )))
Thank you very much 🌷
