Original Texaco gas pumps were not two tone red and white. The correct Texaco pump colors were solid (all) red for Fire Chief and solid (all) Silver for Sky Chief. The red and white restored Texaco pump in the video is incorrect.
I love learning about random stuff on TH-cam. I thought tonight. I wanna know the history of the gas pump. And there it is. I love it. TH-cam can be used to fill you brain with crap or you can use it learn things. Things that you’d have to go to the library or college to learn now is right in your pocket. Used to be "Service station " works of architecture now its a gas station box. Full service to self service. The Americana of it is gone.
Not if the Retro Decade Revival Project can change that for good.
