I'm an American Citizen born in Udon Thani, left Thailand with my family at 10 years old when my dad was transferred back to California. Thanks for the tour, it brings back great memories of my travels as a child in Isaan - which I think is the most true and beautiful part of the country.
3:36 you straight up drove under her house, you don't do that here as its considered pretty disrespectful to go that far into a shop with your bike like that its why she looked confused. there was a perfect area at the front of the shop to park up. remember that for us Thais the smallest common courtesy towards another goes a long way here.
Hey Chad, the 20 minute length is PERFECT! I've always wanted a little more from your awesome videos, and now I've got it! I REALLY HOPE you continue with the 20 minute format. It works, dude!
I love seeing your reactions in Loei, I live in Loei and get the same reactions on a daily basis. When I have friends from the US visit, I always bring them to Chiang Khan. It's like going into a time machine and they see the real Thailand. Keep up the great content.
Your videos got me through the "situation" here in Seattle... my friend started a scooter custom/repair shop and we have been enjoying these vids. have decided we want to go to Thailand and do this same run. Thanks for sharing content.
Bro the first time I saw your video I was like yo he’s the real deal then now when I watch your video you’re like daily dose of Internet but instead of the Internet part your daily dose of Thailand 🇹🇭 because you show different posts of Thailand 🇹🇭 and the beauty and that’s what I love about it. Keep up the good work bro you’ll make 100,000 soon even more I promise that
Chad the time length of your vids doesn't matter. You have great content, your funny and dorky at different times which adds to your persona which is why I like watching your vids. Keep up the great work. Enjoy your motorbike tour of Isaan. 🍻👍
Chad! You are the best! I am a Thai living abroad and this is the first time I see this very cute town called Chiengkaan. And you showed it to me 👍 ! Thank you
17:15. Bro, there is no rule about tipping in Thailand. It doesn't matter what restaurant you are in. It might be a bit different from western culture. Thai people tip just for reward they deserve such as delicious food, good service. Some might tip just because they are simply richer than the people who were working there. Source: I am Thai. Been following you since 5k subs. Thanks for the vid.
I was wondering this as well, never heard it before that you tip on restaurants with air-con, I mean whats the logic behind that :D And higher end restaurants have already service charge. I think in Thailand it is done as should, you tip for the good service and if you feel like it but if not, no one gives you an bad eye. Where as example US you need to count that in top of menu prices, meaning part of the waiter/waitress salary is skinned from your back because the owner is too stingy to give proper salary. Stupid really, why you don't just include that in the menu prices and pay your staff properly and that way waitress knows what shes getting and you know what you are paying without needing to think over it.
@@Intropertti I knew how it feels. I was in Germany and they didn't give me back the change but they said "Thats for the tip". WTF bro, ur food was not even delicious until I realise it's actually part of their culture to tip. Well culture is culture, we can't flame it XD
I guess I’m weird I always watch the whole video.. I watch you and a few other vloggers in Thailand. Thanks for sharing. I really enjoy seeing this part of Thailand as opposed to the southern tourist areas.
Keep up the amazing content, no one here is bugged about your lack of interactivity with your fans/supporters. Enjoy your trip and just have fun and keep filming!
Awesome sunset . And yes I watched all the way through.😂👍 I’m in Detroit Metro area ,Labor Day ,and at home !!! Passing my time watching you tour . Take care and be safe .
Loved the video, I really do look forward to seeing them every day.... Have you tried ever using a GoPro and weighing the pros and cons of a iphone vs Gopro? Thanks for all your doing your nailing it...you really are!
CB you’re the man and i’ve recently really gotten into all of your videos. they are amazing and really enjoy what you’re doing, keep up the grind it’ll pay off and i’ll definitely support you from now on you’re awesome!
Dropping that watched till end comment!! for some odd reason I like watching your casually solo drive through the country because that what's it is. Most people would do it cross country style with a big ass cross country bike and pass through all these little shops but you, you just casually drive by like its a local. That's just cool, make me miss home.
we always watch till the end , you are one of the mane reason why that when this "situation" is over looking at going to Thailand thank you for all the work you do we appreciate it .
You replaced my Thailand fix. Before I was was watching King Epic and all the other faceless scummy and ebegging youtuber. You are quality. Legit and so fun. What an experience.
Love what your doing Chad, and applaud you for doing it yourself, much agreed about the motor bike vs let's say a crotch rocket. Love the views. Take care look forward too #11
Yep, I watched the whole video. Beautiful colors in the sunset ! Not much going on in that town/village . Pretty quiet, and looks clean . Have a safe and enjoyable trip .
I love these travel style videos. I just found your channel a few weeks back and have just been binging your content. Thanks for all that you do. Keep up the great work!
Yeah, that was my first thought also. It was disrespectful. Also the strange look he received was because he drove up too close. I do like his videos, just needs to be a tad more respectful. Keep up the good work Chad.
straight up drove under her house, you don't do that here as its considered pretty disrespectful to go that far into a shop with your bike like that its why she looked confused. there was a perfect area at the front of the shop to park up. remember that for us Thais the smallest common courtesy towards another goes a long way here.
Thank you for the hard work and battle thru heat to show us the city. And don’t apologize for anything. You are doing the best you can . we all should know that. Keep up the good work. Have a safe trip. And wonderful day! Thank you so much.✌🏻
Loved this video. Maybe my favourite so far. That drive was epic, the faq was appreciated and that sunset on the river was beautiful! I could have sworn you went the wrong way when you left that first little store.
Brother, your videos are more than appreciated. Turning on my TV being stuck in lockdown for 9 weeks, your videos daily are worth it even if U can’t edit.
"The faster you're going, the more concentrated you are on riding your bike & you're missing everything around you". This is a good one, you're so damn true, love this quote. Slow down & see those little things around you!
Thank you Cad! I love Thailand too. So glad that you are able to share the routes less travelled by tourists. Hope I will be able to visit Thailand again soon! Stay safe!
Beautiful video of the Mekong. Last time I saw the Mekong River was in 1975 when I visited Nong Khai when I was in the US Army and stationed in Thailand.
I made it til the end. Hearing the name Mekong reminds me as a child watching the news on TV during the war watching for a glimpse of my father or brother whom both served there at the time. It's really a shame what suffering we pressed on these great people.
Over the last three years I have come to Thailand a couple time each year. Now I’m stuck in USA. So thanks your videos so I can stay in touch with my favorite places. Also thanks for your answers to FAQ.
lived in Isaan for many years and believe that its the most underrated region of the country. The food and the people of Isaan are best. So glad that isaan restaurants are making their presence known in the US. Have to scratch that itch.
Loving your videos, I did a similar trip on a motor bike 2 years ago with my Lao partner, we did 5000km in 4 weeks, from our home in Pattaya into Laos, then up through Chiang mai, Mai Hong Song loop, Chiang Rai and back to Pattaya, I can't wait to do it again next year. Keep up the good work man...
12:35 Gotta agree with you, motorbikes really are convenient for that very reason. When you get a flat, it's a really quick fix not matter how far countryside you get. I had a flat tire up in the middle of no-where mountains and found a small fix-it shop, and he was able to fix the flat on the spot. Really nice~
Awesome series! I've waited and saved up to be able to watch it all in one swoop. I so miss Thailand and traveling these days so this is pure magic. Love your spontaneous ways of being yourself as well. Stay safe buddy!
Way behind in the comments here but I wanted to say a few things. First off I just found your channel a few days ago and I can’t stop watching. I never knew Thailand was so fun. Also, that comment you made about doing these travels alone I can completely relate with. As a automotive photographer myself, I find myself doing the exact same things. Not only is it annoying to people who don’t understand but I also tend to feel anxious because I know who ever is with me is probably getting impatient and I don’t feel like I can soak in the moments. Happy and safe travels, Chad. Keep the awesome videos coming and maybe one day I’ll see you in Thailand!
You know sometimes you meet someone and you decide you don't really like them but then they become your best friend - This channel has been like this for me. At first I watched the Bangkok wanderings which was alright but not where the money was, that was the car vids that sucked me in (as a 90s Jappa fan) and now i'm just loving it. I only noticed now 87k subscribers, I would expect this to significantly grow as the channel is really well produced and it's good content.
Hey, I have been there. Brings back memories. I used to have to go there to get my work visa renewed. You are right in that it is unusually quiet. Maybe on weekend it would be busier. I think that the situation has discouraged tourists, which you usually see more of. Thai tourists go there too. I would drive my scooter from Loei. About 43 km. Thanks for the videos, love it.
Hey - you're not travelling alone - we're all with u each day!
Andrew Maloney i am sitting at the back his motorbike. Just like in Dumber and Dumb. And pie on his back.
Yes he is moron
Agree !
Absolutely my favorite TH-cam channel. I always think I'll watch a few minutes and get bored and stay for the whole video.
I'm an American Citizen born in Udon Thani, left Thailand with my family at 10 years old when my dad was transferred back to California. Thanks for the tour, it brings back great memories of my travels as a child in Isaan - which I think is the most true and beautiful part of the country.
Great! Can you speak Thai Isaan?
i agree about it being beautiful. i'm also from California planning to settle in Udon Thani next year

Hey Chad, the 20 minute length is PERFECT! I've always wanted a little more from your awesome videos, and now I've got it! I REALLY HOPE you continue with the 20 minute format. It works, dude!
yes, we wont mind if you make a longer than normal video! 😎
Totally agree!
Twenty minutes went by like ten; these videos are great!
Most definitely!!
12 min would be good

I really hope your having as much fun making these vids as I do watching them ....keep blazing that trail to the next level

I'm looking forward to being able to say "I was subbed to this dude when he was at 80k subs". Keep up the good work man. You're killing it.
His channel is growing super fast. He had around 50k subs about a month ago.
I’ll be able to say I was one of the first when he had a thousand lol
Been here since 10k love Chads comedy! Such an amazing vast of content

ชอบช่องนี้มากครับ ตื่นเช้าต้องแวะมาดูก่อนตลอดเลย
Better not encourage tipping culture
For me, Tip is sharing and giving, not the mandate.

This 20min video with coffee in the morning cant go wrong with that.that last shot with beer and the river just epic.

And i thought the Saigon River couldn't get any better!!...amazing views.
I enjoy the editing, narration and the scenery. These tours are great.
love the videos. Love learning about Thailand and the very cool cars/trucks you film. Cant wait to see more!!

Loving your videos here in Australia. Can't wait for the borders to open so I can visit Thailand again. Thanks for the great work.
Nice to be able to travel with you in this beautiful country, thank you!
Keep up the good work. I was in Bangkok, back in 1970, took my R&R there, from the Army. Loved it. Someday I hope to return to visit.
Drinking ice cold beer and watching sunsets, that's so awesome!
