I love tuxedo cats! I have one, too, and he never holds in his feelings... as he has grown, he has become a lot more affectionate, but you still need to watch his body language to know when to stop petting him lmao!!
I generally feel that older cats become more affectionate as they calm down. If 7 counts as older lol, my other cats were 12,14 and 18 when I adopted them. Very loving and affectionate. Only the white 12y old would hiss occasionally, probably because you came too close to her tummy. But if I laid down on the couch and watched tv she would crawl on me and her cheek would touch my cheek and trust me, there wasn’t much tv watching when she did that 😍🥰 I just laid there with my head against hers and totally relax. My 7y old, though traumatized, somehow felt she could trust me enough to carefully climb onto my lap after two weeks of hiding (but I did go see her and let her get used to my voice and smell and all that for about 5minutes three times per day while keeping my distance. I think that helped more than leaving her alone completely.) She would look at me with one paw in my leg, then the second one, again looking at me and when I softly verbally encouraged her she quickly set foot with the last two legs and sat down. It made me almost cry. It still took two and a half years for her to not jump off in complete panicmode when I wiggled my toes or picked up the remote and stand far enough away for her to get away from me. But there was doubt and confusion visible in her behavior. So I always talked to her, get her out of her “help me” mode, then she’d walk over to the couch but always from the side. I put my hand on the couch so she could sniffle and know it was me. After that she’d be straight back in my lap. The strange thing with her was that she let me rub her belly a week in after I got her and that never changed. She loved bellyrubs. She hated feet until 4,5y or so in, that’s when she finally trusted me 100%, waited next to her bowl to have it filled instead of safe away from me and started to follow me to the kitchen. She ended up being a little breadstealer lol. I didn’t condone it but it did warm my heart knowing she felt safe enough to be cheeky and wouldn’t be thrown around the house or kicked around if she did. My other two were just kittymagnets. My 14y old straight from the shelter, no getting used to anything, he dove straight into my lap giving me soft headbutts and also acting as if I had been his mom for his entire life. Beautiful but still a bit “wow what happened here?” My 18y old spent one day in front of my toilet 🤦♀️ and the next he was already asking for snuggles. Never say on my lap but only laid of my stomach an entire night when he must have felt I was in such a low place I might leave him forever. (If you get my drift). The only night he crawled on to me, laid down and did not move an inch as of to say “I’m here... don’t go... I’ll protect you but need you too.” Never in the rest of the 2,5y I had him did he do this or say on my lap or anything. Laying next to me getting his belly rubbed was our thing but not thrall or stomach thing. I’m convinced he knew and did what gebocheld to stop me. It worked, obviously. My little savior 🥰 Well they all were in theorieën unique way but this was so... clear... it still boggles my mind the way my 14y old immediately went crazy when he had met me and wanted to go hone with me right away. He even ran into the carrier as soon as we put it down. He knew he’d go home. I could give him 4 more weeks, then his health problems got the best of him. My little hero. (I specifically adopted him because he was ill and didn’t stand a high chance of being adopted and I haven’t had a single regret despite the fact I forgot he needed quite a lot of vet visits in the beginning to see how his meds were working. I had the money so it wasn’t an issue. My coworkers all would have let him die alone in the shelter, they only saw the money. I saw Mickey, who needed more care but whom I really loved right away. Only my vet was super happy for him and kept telling me that. At least someone who supported me even though deep down it didn’t matter: it was him and I anyway and nobody could tell me differently. Screw my coworkers. Especially the one who told me this should be a lesson to get a young and healthy cat next time. Ignorance. They didn’t see what I saw or felt what I felt. A depressed not eating kitty blossoming to a happy go lucky cat who started grooming again on my stomach after he hadn’t done so for at least 2 months. He started to nomnomnomnomnomnomnom his kibbles and it was beautiful to see. Where my 7y old took it gradually and only after a while you’d notice that change, with Mickey it was very quick and very clear. I knew already after two weeks that if he passed, he’d come home again. I have a beautiful necklace with his ashes (like my other kitties). He belonged here, not on a big pile of other unknown kitties to be burned and scattered or even just “taken care of” without cremating (which meant they’d be thrown in a dumpster. Ugh. No way I wanted that for any of my cats. We loved in life, I still love after passing and have them here at home. Beautiful souls , all of them ❤️ *end of novel*

We had a 21 year old Tuxedo Cat named "Jordan" (aka Jordy, Jord & Jordy-Bear). Jordy was a Beautiful Tuxedo cat with AWESOME markings (per Vets & Vet crews!). He was a Sweetheart & a "Momma's Boy" & my protector! If I wasn't feeling well or sad, he could sense it & he would comfort me! I miss him so very much as does his Daddy! Love & miss you, Sweetie!🙏🏻🐈🌹😇🐹
I've got a tuxedo that looks a lot like him but is twice his size. When i turned this on and he started squalling Atom, my big tuxedo, came running in and started looking for him. He even went to the window and looked outside for him.
My tuxedo cat was by far and away the most talkative. Of all of the many cats I’ve had in my life, he was not only the talkative, but also the most clever, loudest, and demanding cat ever. He knew that no matter what our bodies may do, that if our eyes weren’t open, we were not awake. And so, he’d smack our eyelids.
Lol call me crazy but I think he wanted you to massage his jaw. Cats do that thing where they rise up on two legs for a sec to reach when they want that 😂
Quite the opposite for every tuxedo cat I have ever had. My little Shadow was VERY quiet, the only time I ever heard her meow was when I first met her, when she had a horrible injury and desperately needed medical help. How noisy they are has to do with their childhood. She was probably a feral kitten all her life until she met me, and so never picked up the characteristic of meowing a lot. Only when she really really needed something.
Well, whatever would you talk about with your human pets? Probably make silly clicking and funny sounds as they looked at you like a big dummy. 😂😂😂 We belong to them.
Oh these videos make me feel so lonely! I need that tiny bit of life, interwoven into my own. To have something to love, and hopefully at least want me to be around. As it can be hard to tell if a cat loves you, or merely needs your assistance in feeding, and keeping their litter box fresh! Such a beautiful little guy! And so well dressed! He looks better than I did on prom night! 🥰
I know! I’ve only heard one more that I loved as it was an absolute thank you for saving him from the harsh wilderness. Literally, the first time I saw this cat, he was in a fight with a damn wild raccoon! And basically I only truly saw was a big ass ball of black and Orange hair! Tumbling around fiercely. He only got a scratch on his nose, anyway to the point. His meow was like a “wah” short, scratchy, and adorable. And always the same. A many “Wah” never too many, all evenly spaced apart. God I loved that little guy. And when I moved away, everytime I’d call my parents the first thing I’d ask was “How is Samson?” And when he died my mom lied to me for months knowing I’d not be able to deal with it. A snakebite. Most grateful creature I’ve ever known.
My Tux is also vocal, but very polite. Always comes in and says Hi, I'm home. Ditto when she goes outside. Bi, see you later. Always comes to say good night and waits for me on the bed. If I take too long, comes and scolds me less I wake her when I come to bed. Funniest cat I've ever owned,..or, owned me!

Hello
Hes not annoyed, annoyed cats are waving their tail. He wanted some love🥰
yep... there are cats that gently bite affectionately and playfully. if tucker really wanted to hurt her, he would've drawn blood a long time ago
Cats will normally keep their distance when in a bad mood, so he would've just gone to another room if that were the case
Agreed!
Yeah he either wants a pet or for you to go away and send back someone who will pet him.
"Snuggle me gdamnit!!"
"Can I pet you?"
"NO! IM AN IMPORTANT BUSINESS CAT!"

I don't think that's because he's a tuxedo cat. Those are traits that could be for a lot of cats of a lot of colors.
