Oh, my!! This is another number from the Pat Barker solo concert on June 29th. Included are Pat, Joel Wood, Corey Pearson, Dustin Sweatman, Eric Phillips, Jimmy Pearson, and Joe Brown.
WOW. This group is GREAT!!!!!!!! I have never heard of them but would love to see them in concert. I have heard "Glory Road" sung by a lot of groups but none are better.
I don't know the 1st tenor singer's name. I had heard him miss a lot of notes, on another youtube posted song, but gave him the benefit of a doubt, because we all have a bad night, sometimes, or he might not have been able to hear himself, real well, at the time. Whatever the case, with that one, he hit the nail right on the head with this song. Wow!! He was smoking.
hhey we don't use that word in this video!!!!!!! it was at a baptist church most of htem wouldn't know fun if it came up and kicked them out of their pew
Well I clicked on this because I love this song. These gentleman have great sound. I am a nut for tenors. My favorite was always Ernie Phillips from the Kingsmen Quartet. Honestly I am enjoying this tenor every bit as much. I love the harmonies of a good Quartet. And these guys fall in that category.
Seems like he is trying to sound like Johnny Parrack from the Kingsmen early years! He’s doing a great job! I heard Johnny do Glory Road many times! Love it!
I love the Dixie Echoes! Will Smith is, as usual, outstanding; as is Pat Barker. But it's always great to see and hear the Shelnuts. I don't know when I've had as much fun as I did when I saw them in concert with that delightful Stewart Varnados on the piano! I know where the Shelnuts are (and I'm waiting for their new CD), but I don't know about Will, Stewart and Pat. Can you tell me what they are doing now I think that Will is with The New Dove quartet, but I'm not sure. Help?
If you mean Wesley Smith, he is singing with the New Dove Brothers. Pat is singing solo dates and also appearing with the Second Half Quartet and occasional dates as the bass for The Guardians. I don't know where Stewart is at the moment.
I STILL miss Eric and Dustin terribly, MTQ, they will never be replaced
Being blessed by the Christian music which for the most has been over shadowed in this day in tme!!
JASON Crabb

It's not a group! Pat Barker has launched a solo ministry and the guys he had singing with him are some of the men he used to sing with.
Great music. But with all those fantastic vocals, it’s easy to overlook that drummer. He really added a great deal to the entire performance.
My favorite song!

Pat in looks great facial hair, and still sings fabulously!
This would be an awesome group!

This tenor, Joel Wood, was the tenor for the Mark Trammell Trio and then Quartet after Ernie's son, Eric.
Diana Brantley Oh ok. Thanks very much.

This group is very goo, and so is the tenor, but I certainly miss Wes Smith and his interaction with them. Same with Pat, and the rest!
Eric is a great tenor in his own right but you hear a little of his dad every now and then
Great tenor right there. Except for Corey. 😂😂
who's the "real bass singer" at the end
Joe Brown - former Diplomats bass.
I love this song but could do some without the drums.
I ain't crazy about drums, with a Southern Gospel Quartet, either. Difficult to get subtle out of a set of drums.
The drums are overdone for the mix--yes. BUT, drums and Bass are basic to a strong sound. The piano is also a percussion instrument.
Starting to become noise and not joyful.
