the "roping" is just cruel. bear in mind that cow is a BABY and is so confused and scared because someone is on a big horse charging toward them throwing a rope at them.
same with the bucking. the horse doesn't want you there. that's why it's trying to throw you off
Yeah I don't have any problem with the equestrian sports (looks like the owners love and treat their animals well) but that poor cow and where they make the horse or bull buck looks horrifying. No way would an animal buck if it wasn't terrified or uncomfortable, I have even seen some electrocute to make the animals buck. Those people who made a sport of it are totally sick and evil and must have the devil in them. Why would anyone wrestle with a baby cow too, the cowboys must be terrified and in so much pain. I don't understand why these people can't have respect for their animals and treat them with respect and kindness instead of making them terrified and cause them pain. Livestock animals and horse have given us so much, imo they at least deserve respect.
i get the roping bit. ive always hated roping. but with bronc riding, the same mechanism is used for bull riding. there’s a rope tied around their hips that makes them buck. it’s almost like tickling them, and horses are sensitive to touch (they will shake if there is a fly on them). the rope comes off with just a tug at the tie.

no you're right, what they did to that baby cow, slamming it on the ground and dragging it away is straight up DISGUSTING. No question!
As for the strap put on horses "tickling them" no that is also cruel. You put a strap on a horse in a very uncomfortable area simply so it bucks like hell until it can get it off

But what they did to the calf was much worse it's brutal, the poor baby

How is the bareback riding scored? It seems like they are never bucked off.
They’re scored based on how well the rider stayed on, and how well the horse performed and how much he bucked
If they fail to mark the horse out, fall off before the 8 second buzzer, or touch any part of the horse or himself with his free hand, then that's an automatic no score
Animal abuse
Animal abuse that's it were is the backing up of claims. Because before I get in to a argument I prepare for a backup of my claim and not just have a claim, "rodeos are not animal abuse". And end it right there. Go back to English class.

That's absurd. You've been misinformed.
There are many veterinarians, that say that rodeos are cruelty to animals, because some come in afterwards with broken bones, cracked ribs, ruptured organs etc. They also use cattle prods on the animals to make them run and buck.

Rodeos can be cruel. Taking a baby cow calf from its mother, and terrorizing it through roping is cowardly.
Aside from a full hog tie this happens literally every single day while herding.
Doesn't hurt them at all and they're less likely to meet the butcher if they're used in the rodeo.

You deny the cruelty- you soft little girl with no heart!

Back in the old days the modern everyday cattle chute didn't exist, and to this day some farmers and ranchers that own cattle can't afford a cattle chute for branding the calf or doing a simple medical procedure such as a vaccine! So how do you handle the situation and get the job done? YOU ROPE THE CALF AND TIE ITS LEGS SO IT DOESN'T GET AWAY!!!!

This is a prime example of forming an opinion based off of what you see on the surface instead of finding out the facts and learning the truth. It’s an easy assumption to come to at first glance but doing just one iota of research and digging would show you how wrong you are.

What do you think happens when two wild stallions meet and have a fight.Have you ever seen stallions fight? That is very vicious. Rodeo has got nothing on that. Do your research.

@@fern-liberationlakdnd What I am getting at is they jump around, kick and buck when they are fighting. And it doesn't have to be stallions that do this, it could be mares also. And their fights can last for days. In a rodeo they just buck and kick for up to eight seconds if that and it's over. They go back to the pen, have a drink and eat. Get loaded into a trailer and off they go either back home or a paddock somewhere. Doesn't sound at all abusive to me. They actually have a good life. You just can't see it.
