I was so fucking confused, I’ve read all the books and my friend has only watched the film, she said to me “I think Olive and Jacob make a great couple don’t u?” I said “WTF Olive is like 6 and Jacob is sixteen! 😂

Olive and Emma really switched each other's powers and the ages are so confused

Me too lol I just wanted to let you know that Mystery recapped and show you the whole thing it only showed you the ending part where Emma and Jake kiss
Everyone’s main problem is that they switched Emma’s and Olive’s powers around, and though I have a huge issue with that too, my main problem is that they really decided to shove all three books into one movie. And they were put together in such a horrible way. There are so many gaps and big events that were left out!!! It would’ve been so much better if they had only made it on the first book, then quit if no one watched it

I prefer the way it was cast in the books- if you read the books, there's a specific cast list with black and white photos next to the names and I think it fits so much better than this interpretation but the movie is not bad at all
The first time I watched the movie, I thought it was alright. It was only after I read the books that I realized how dirty they did my kids
I never read the book, but i will say that this is one of the best movies I have seen

The movie defies any sense of logic, chemistry, biology, or physics. Those aside, I happen to love the continuity and story.

@@KARVELIT Actually, Emma and Olive exchanged names and Emma (Olive, in the movie) is much more affectionate to Enoch, who by book description should be younger, while Millard should be around 14+, if I recall.
The changes Tim Burton did were not small, but I still enjoy a lot this movie, specially the end - the best solutions when you know you won't be able to tell all 4 books in a series of movies and want to give it closure.
I wish I had a big forehead no emma and Oliva didn't switch emma peculiarty I's air and Olivas peculiarty Is fire
SPOILER ALERT⚠️
When you realize at the end Jake changes history itself so his grandpa never died which technically means because of that he never went on the trip and met Emma or anyone else in the loop- but it's a good movie so you try to shut the hell up and shut the realization down and enjoy it but in the back of your head you can't help but psychoanalyze.👀👀

@@kearsimartinez1810 nah you're not dumb. Basically in the movie his grandpa dies. Bc of that, he goes to the island his grandpa grew up on and met the kids. At the end of the movie, the kids travel in time and kill the bad guy. But because they killed the bad guy in the PAST, the bad guy never gets the chance to kill the main characters grandpa. Which means, the grandpa never died. So the main character would have never went to the island. The point is, because they changed the past, that erased all events that led to him going to the island. Which kinda means the movie would have never happened.
I love how miss peregrine is supposed to protect the kids, but she chooses a day, of literally any day in time, where a hollowgast comes for the house and where the house gets bombed. Idk. Doesn’t make much sense

Funny thing tho, hollowgasts aren't even to supposed to look like that, let alone like slenderman, only thing here that's accurate to their design is the three long tongues displayed here. You can see what they actually are supposed to look like in the first book which is conveniently what this movie is named after

Why was Olive freezing under that guy’s touch? If Pokemon has taught me anything, Fire has advantage over Ice. Her inner heat should have kept her from freezing.
I think 🤔 it’s because Olive 🫒 is still young and not in control of her fire 🔥 powers and hasn’t tapped into it’s full potential where as the adult 👨 is more experienced and more in control of his ice 🧊 powers.
