That's some next level reversing skills Raul. Massive amount of confidence and experience to do that so calmly. So shocking with all those driveways and hardly anyone parking in them. I would love to bring in a law that bans owners from parking on the pavement or road if they have an empty driveway. I would also, of course, bring in a law that severely penalises others from blocking your driveway. All the best, Raul, for 2024.
I used to work for BCA. Some of the places they would send us to to collect/deliver cars on a huge car transporter were bloody ridiculous! I learned very quickly that it was always best to play it safe and reverse into these places even if it was extremely difficult. That way at least you aren’t reversing out into traffic! Great work
@@seanj9362 it was my first job. Use them for experience and move on. It’s a great start because you get some real difficult places to deliver/collect to and from. Minimal support from them, money is bad, office staff are liars and don’t care about issues just want you to deliver the cars it’s day rate so you get paid the same if you do 8 hours or 15. Like I said use it for experience and once you’re confident I’d move onto general haulage. That’s what I did. I have to give them some credit because they were willing to take me on when I had no experience. Final straw for me was they talked me into moving onto main fleet from auction. Said I’d make more, it’s deliberately difficult to figure out what you’ll be getting paid on fleet, and you only make the money on fleet if you get good runs like full loads going to one place. They didn’t give me these runs instead I’d get 8 cars 8 drops all round London. Felt lied to and scammed so one day in London I’d had enough and drove back to Manchester they were phoning me the whole time because they could see it on the tracker but I didn’t pick up the phone. parked the truck in the yard and text them saying I won’t be coming back. Went on agency for a bit pulling in a grand a week till I landed on general haulage 4 on 4 off in a brand new Volvo unit that I can actually stand up in and not be all cramped like a transporter. Haven’t looked back since. It’s a great job and I loved all the cars I got to test out, it’s let down by the lying management and the unfathomable pay structure. If the management and pay had been better I would definitely not have left. Don’t let this dishearten you though I’m glad I got a start with BCA and mostly enjoyed my time there. I’m also glad I had the sense to leave when I did.
@@seanj9362 you'll love the company and people there and the fact that your transporting cars (some being quite nice) you probably won't like the back single track roads or the right neighbourhood areas, it's not all motorway and A-road driving!
The sheer skill, patience and expertise of Raul is on a level James Bond could only imagine to do. Raul does it all will magnificent ease and beauty. No wonder people look on, they are in total awe. I am a new truck driver, I passed 3 months ago and started container work 2 weeks after I passed. I am a sub-driver for maritime and I love the job. keep up the great content you are one of the reasons I got into this line of work.
Removal men probably get a raw deal. They have to be able to get their rigids to all manner of places. But well done for remaining composed and tacking it like a pro
My last household was SE17 postcode block of flats London . But I’d take that any day then a little village by the looks of it you had haha. Nicely done
Love the name example you used at the start! Was I on your mind or something? 😉 Good video too. I am only just getting to grips with reversing an Artic in a nice wide yard so mad props to you for doing a manoeuvre like this!
As a freight forwarder we always hate personal effects shipments. Doesn’t matter whether import or export they’re always more hassle than they’re worth.
Raul you as a h g v driver like me buy now retired we go to places and are expected to get a big truck into a small place and there is all ways some thing in the way that is what driving a truck is all abought good luck to you and yours all the best m8
Love it! And all those muppets got drive ways they can park on. Imagine a fire truck or ambulance trying to get through there? Some people really don't use their brains. Great job though Take it from the ending you are still parked on that street? 😂 Netx video we need an update on how long that took then dramas getting out?
@@daveg3312 My brother used to work in Helsby and we'd take bike rides round there quite a bit. That church/pub junction could be a thousand places in England, but as soon as I saw the name, the bells started ringing. But I love the fact that each little town or village has its own identity based on little twists.
11:14 you ask ‘how do you park like that?’, many people lose all common sense (or their entire brain) when they step into a vehicle and they become only interested in the 3ft directly in front of them. This issue is exacerbated when one becomes a taxi driver!
Would have love to seen you drive out of there as well, though it must have been more easier and quicker than the super difficult reverse you did. Still would love to see a more complete in and out from a location.
Not unusual but usually owner driver work. They are called personal effect jobs and you are there for the duration. If the removal men don't turn up or turn up short handed it is a long wait. After 3 hours the company claim demurrage but it isn't worth it as you can make more having the truck back for another job. Can be alright as a driver but if you sleep half the day it messes you up for sleeping that night. The only benefit is that they are usually light boxes and you aren't burning much diesel while sitting there.
At least you had a house number! I'm not a truck driver, im a tradesman and the worst is when i get a house name, no number and it's on an unlit country lane 4 miles long. And if i get an 'address' like that now i tell the owners to put the hazard lights on on their car so i can find the bl##dy house!
Not highway code but a local bye law.Vehicles should not be parked if it cause an obstruction to utility vehicles ( dust carts) or emergency vehicle.A fire engine is around the same width as a container
The amount of ppl parking on the footpath is unreal. Thank god pavement parking will become officially illegal in Feb. Amount of times iv seen wheelchair users having to go out onto the road
@peterburnett1661 Some years ago and when living in a long cul de sac, I raised the same issue with a local firefighter. He said not to worry, in an emergency call out they would have sufficient numbers with the necessary equipment to move cars that were blocking their way. Even said it with a smile!
Driving on these kinds of roads with cars parked like that is bad enough in a car. A whole other level of driving skill is required to not only do it in a truck, but to do it in a truck while reversing.
As a former driver now OCPC/DGSA/ADR/DCPC Trainer your video makes me miss being in the saddle behind the wheel. Good driving there my lad !
This kind of comments keeps me posting. Thank you, sir 🍺
Impressive skills as usual Raul!

Things have to go wrong first for people to learn these kind of things unfortunately. Fire trucks don't fit through either.
Retired last week after 30 years of driving ,last 5 years was household deliveries with a Moffat on the back of the truck

We do those all the time, moving companys load 20 or 40 at the home, sometimes we drop them and sometimes we wait, and it could take forever :)
A great bit of reversing there Raul, well done!
Cant believe how people park, What if that was an Ambulance or Fire brigade trying to get up there in the early hours
Luckily fire brigade can ram your car, but you're right about the ambulances.
Nice work mate, very patient,
Happy Christmas 🎄🎄🎄
Good job son. Fair play to you for getting there. Now you're going to have to get out ... at school time (in my day we had to walk to school)

Great drive Raul 👍 so sounds really calm. Keep it up 💪
As a taxi driver myself myself i can attest to the fact that yes . Its a given we are incapable of. Parking safely. 😅

Super driving that is so cool with it.
Nice vid raul!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice bit of Frodsham there. Recognise those roads any day.
The Ring O' Bells was a dead giveaway. Ace driving as usual mate. Have a great xmas too!
Not from Frodsham but I've been to the top of that hill many times and recognised it soon as he approached the church / pub junction.

Looks like they're relocating, overseas, and packing possessions into a shipping container.
Another tasty one from Raul!
welcome to my world at least once a week to a house address! Some of the locations and roads are appauling turning up with a 40ft container.

It was very straightforward, so didn't included it in the clip. I do have loads of other videos going in and out of places though 👍

If only people actually parked on the driveway provided.... It's just LAZY!
Nice reversing
And the government now want everyone to not park on pavements 😂😂
Imagine if a fire engine or bin lorry needed to get through
Not highway code but a local bye law.Vehicles should not be parked if it cause an obstruction to utility vehicles ( dust carts) or emergency vehicle.A fire engine is around the same width as a container
Only a taxi driver parks like that and only a taxi gets through that gap, and at 35mph at least 😅
At 11.18 im sure a fire the fire brigade would push through but seriously selfish parking again,.

Cars parked on pavements, not fun when you in a wheel chair, or pushing a pram.
No access for fire engines either.
