Kinda have a fan theory for connecting all XMen movies together. So in DoFP, Beast has a line “Time is like a river... throw a rock in it and creates some ripples, but maintains the stream”. So what if Logan’s trip created “ripples” through the time- stream? Hence why Xavier and Eric meet in the 60s and how Prof. X became paralyzed. Probably why the line was written in the movie but I felt like most people didn’t catch onto it
Is there any chance you can cover x-men the official game? It’s basically x-men 2.5 and uses the same cast and story. It bridges the gaps between x2 and x3 and is a severely underrated story. Please check it out and mention me if I helped! lol love all you guys!

I enjoyed the first two movies actually. The third one was questionable. Although I did enjoy Hugh Jackmans “grow those back” 😂😂
3rd was surprisingly okay considering the circumstances. After the first two, it was definitely a letdown, but it has some good parts

I actually have enjoyed all (yeah, you red that right.) of the X-men movies. The trick is view each of them as a stand alone movie even though the movie name might be X2.
I don't remember the third star-wars moving being that bad.

That opening scene with Nightcrawler was amazing. That led Nightcrawler to become one of my favorite Marvel characters.

I rewatched all of the Xmen films this quarantine and as a pre-MCU film I can wholeheartedly say X2 holds up with the very best of them! The Nightcrawler scene is still spectacular 17 years later. Aside from Logan, I think X2 and Days of Future Past are the best Xmen films

The "6 year old girl" line isn't about the film, but actually a reference to the time that Cassandra Nova made Logan believe he was a 6 year old girl. For reference, that story is featured in The New X-Men. Fantastic story. One of Grant Morrison's best imo.
The opening scene with Nightcrawler is one of the best scenes in all the X-Men movies.

I wanted Wolverine origins to be more like X2. And that opening scene is so dirty
The opening of origins was brilliant, showing wolverine as a child and that amazing cut through the times. The we get the title card and things start to go down hill, then up again when we get my boy Gambit, then down again shortly after.
Oh yeah I remember scouring that computer scene when it first flashed in the movies, thinking it was hints at stuff in the then future of 2003. What a bummer so little of it happened and likely none of it was actually intended as a roadmap. I would have loved seeming some attempt at an FF/X-men crossover even if the FF movies of the time were subpar.
EDIT - I thought a major source of missed opportunity given how Wolverine-centric these movies were, was highlighting his past with the heavies. When he sniffs out Sabretooth in the first movie, he should have had moment of recognition, but no other info making it a scary scene. Here, if Deathstrike had said "Logan" as she died, that would have been another one.
They really never said Saber tooth died right? I thought he just went into hiding... I mean he has healing power like Logan

1. In my opinion, this is the best X-Men movie.
As much as I love Days of Future Past, X-Men United is the quintessential X-Men movie.
2. I remember seeing this in theaters with my sister and future brother-in-law, and I was in awe of it.
3. That Nightcrawler scene is one of the greatest superhero film scenes ever.
4. Also, that Wolverine flashback was scary.
That’s why I am not watching the Wolverine movies

But fr that's when the 'mutant = gay' allegory really clicked for me, I'm kind of an idiot and needed it to be that obvious.

I love Jackman and these films but I want X-Men films that arent about Wolverine but about the actual team

Hey Erik! I’ve watched Days of Future past like three times since it dropped on Disney plus and I have an Easter egg for you! During the president’s briefing halfway through the film, Dr. Trask says “She can impersonate anyone, a General, a Secret Serviceman, even you, Mr. President.” This is the order she actually impersonates people. She uses the form of a Vietnamese General to get into the summit, then a Secret Serviceman to kill trask, and then the President to incapacitate Magneto. I thought it was a nice touch and wanted to make sure you noticed it.
This is definitely the best X-Men film ever made
It’s one of the best but Days of Future Past is better imo. Logan is also amazing.

I always assumed the Nightcrawler effect was based on Calabi-Yau manifolds, which are the theoretical shapes of bundled up inner dimensions.

Storm is outrageously powerful and can control nature, weather/space weather and matter, at the atomic level; this includes thermo-manipulation. I wish they would show more of her abilities in the mcu other than lightning zaps and wind/flying :/

This was my favorite among the X-men trilogy.
This movie is still so good. The opening scene, the raid on the house, and the fight between wolverine and Lady Deathstrike are the highlights for me (as far as action goes)

Disney Plus: (looks at the X-Men movies) this will make a fine addition to my collection
I remember when Alan Cumming was cast as Nightcrawler, everyone was happy (partly because he had done the german accent in Cabaret for so long, he's get it right & also because he's such a talented chameleon. Apparently they filmed Nightcrawlers attack on the oval office first & due to the "bamf" special effects it was one of the last shots to be finished. They did get the difficult how-do-we-do-the-bamf-effect-in-live-action problem, and solved that problem brilliantly.
