i loved this game. i never was good with the light mechs so i almost always went heavy. usually went with high powered machine guns and decent armor. of course the longest lasting cloak i could put on it
@Dalboni Hehe, perhaps it's just me but I've always easily grasped the series. Personally I find it to be one of the, if not the, best mech related productions out there. Kojima with red lotus' upgraded for speed with a bird chip always worked nicely; still a favored style really. Primarily though, I broke down to using a Ventuno model with hover legs, duel yielding laser canons and shock grenade launchers with extended cloaking on bother models. Razed any opponent to the ground. ^_^
Ey boss ere's the scoop, this song is excellent to grind stocks for that C-E-O Mindset. If only DD shared her wisdom (and shares of poolsucks) earlier we would've been in Hawaii by now. -Knocker Marriage-Is-A-Lottery aficionado
This game got really easy if you used the stock market and figured out that slapping two +99 shotties on a moderately fast Carro was an instant win (and it REALLY pissed people of online when you did that). Hint: Carro Body -28, 2Wheel (-AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE WITHOUT BEING OVERWEIGHT), Caccitore +99x2, Carro Shoulder Armor -99x2; SCH-64 (IIRC, it did shields + some OC) (as many as possible, sub in an insurance and a 9-slot chip protect for PvE) = Rapebot.
@Dalboni Yes, the ammo was always something to keep track of, but of course with the extended cloaking and the immense speed and jumping capabilities I was up in the air 'adjacent' (sometimes even on top of) the dropships; riding them was amusing. Needless to say, I was the only person to acquire any ammo, nanite repair, or cash drops.
This game has the best soundtrack ever with Zebrahead, Superchic[k], etc. Really, really, really, really hard to play. Every part it's very expensive, the weight of the Bot is always a fucking problem and the SuperFuckingMetalHeadbangersBosses always owned me a thousand times before i could level up in degree. It's strange, but i loved it. Too hard to play but very pleasing when you win. The feeling of "I KICKED YOUR A** M*****F*****" it's just wonderfull. =)
@GodofCider I was more successful with the Drill/Sword Weapons. Just one armed hand with a very very very heavy Drill. The lasers are a great weapon to use and become a lot better if u can use 4 of them(shoulders and arms), but you have to recognize the ammo goes wild using it. Ful to empty in 20 secs continuously. Nostalgic.
pro tip: just use straight up machineguns for every weapon and go middle of the road for movement and armour. youll win every round that way. its how i beat the game.

懐かしいなあ。
Why didn't they make more? Why didn't Sega make another JSR too? Those two would make my game collection.

@lantosimos the light weight type of scv is better for spider legs.
