What up Dude! Just found you. New supporter. Congrats on the 75 gal. The Caribbean Supernaturals sand is excellent also. They have a tan color called Sunset Gold. It looks fantastic. Love the setup bro.👍✌️😎
Rinsing the sand would've prevented a lot of that cloudiness at first. But that 75 gallon looks so much better. I want to upgrade my 55 gallon peacock and hap tank to something bigger
@@bretts7694 erm yes u do otherwise u might aswell buy normal sand, the whole point of live sand is because it has beneficial bacteria in, do you keep African cichlids? I sure hope not. You'll be saying u don't need dechlorinator or lake buffering salt next 🤣🤣
@@KJ_92-x2k I don’t need to prove anything to you. I bought live sand simply for aesthetics of the kind I got because I know how to cycle a tank. I’ve never used live sand to introduce bacteria 🤣
Hey there thanks for stopping by...a 75 gallon mbuna tank would be really awesome...I would reccomend buying the tank from petco when they have there sales since you can get them super cheap..as for the fish I would go with tampabaycichlids.com or imperialtropicals.com....the main local fish store in Alb is Clark's but imo they are really overpriced in terms of equipment so when it comes to heaters/filters I go with amazon
Petco has half off tanks so you’ll get a 75 cheap right now I would absolutely do research on where your gonna order from especially on Tampa bay if you have Facebook check out the wonders of cichlids Trevor or Rons cichlids
I’ve always started the siphon and put the tube in a bucket. Then sucked up all the sand. All that’s left is dumping the water off the top and the bucket into the new aquarium. HTH someone.
KK 9301 Lmfao! Only us fish enthusiast love the fish game & also learning from each other. To be honest I can’t tell how he painted his background of the tank. Although, I’ve always spray painted my background with a nice dark blue. At that since I’m not a fan of sand or gravel, I tend to spray paint the bottom of the tank black. Just so it won’t look awkward. I can’t wait to set up my 125 gallon all peacock cichlid tank. 210 San Antonio Tx style
greate tank bro i like it ive 90 gallone and i ve mixed malawi all hap peackok and mbunas so m cichlid lover i love your tank nice please can you tell me what youve feed them and water temperature... but such nice tank......
Thank you I appreciate that...I feed a northfin cichlid pellet and a hikari veggie pellet... also it's good to mix in blood worms and brine shrimp and I usually keep the tank anywhere from 80-84 degrees
DAMN THATS EXACTLY WHAT IM TRYING TO DO TO MY TANK CAUSE I HAVE PEACOCKS AND HAPS AND I DEF NEED AN UPGRADE BUT IM AFFRAID I LIVE IN A 3 FLOOR BUILDING LITTLE NERVOUS THAT IT MIGHT BE TO MUCH WEIGHT .
I would not go any bigger then a 40 gallon breeder in a 3 floor building. Just a little advice, the floors that high up are not made for tanks full of water
Nice new setup dude, fish like they’re enjoying the bigger space I know mine did when I switched from a 75 to a 180
Question, why didn’t you wash the aragonite sand before applying it to the tank
Very detailed and informative video man. I’m upgrading my 29 gallon to a 75 in a couple weeks. This video was very helpful.
Thanks I'm glad it helped out :)

U don't rinse live sand kills all the bacteria 🤣🤔
@@KJ_92-x2k you don’t need it.

People think I'm crazy for loving my fish tanks. What kind of paint did you use to paint the back black??

Hey so this is a peacock cichlid tank no mbunas right ?
He has a few mbunas in there including the yellow lab, I would not advise mixing mbunas with anything other then their own species
