For those confused Besnard and co passed the start finish line in 1st as the SC was called on track. The SC picked up Murphy ( who was 30 sec behind Besnard in but 1st of the pitters). Besnard and co pitted from the lead and joined the back of the SC pack still in the lead.
Essentially what should have happened was the SC needed to wave Murphy through as he wasn't the leader at the SC deployment and wait for Murphy to come around again

Ah yes: the race where if you rolled a 6, you'd end up in the lead. Never seen anything like this before and never seen it again since.
