MLB the Show games have been notorious for years for changing your lineups in simmed games. The game is basically programmed to optimize lineups with old school logic. So whoever the best overall hitter on the team is (power and contact considered) will almost always be put in the 3 spot in the lineup. This essentially happens the moment someone needs a day off for fatigue. Guys like George Springer, Ronald Acuna Jr and Mookie Betts almost always get moved out of their leadoff spots because of this stupid issue.
It's not just lineups either. I've learned that the games logic around bullpen usage is the same. The game rarely uses setup guys and will always move the highest rated reliever into the closer role. Due to inaccurate strikeout rates some relievers are just simply useless and the game also hasn't adjusted for modern day starting pitcher management. I enjoy playing this game, but I get so frustrated with the shear lack of attention to detail for franchise mode.
I know it's an unpopular opinion, but I really wish SDS would drop DD (it'll never happen) and use the additional memory to male a game that blends the gameplay with all of the backend management options from OOTP. Or maybe I just stop justifying this slightly above average console title and just stick strictly to OOTP, SMFH!!!

I think it would be cool to have like a “critical game” or some type of “Breakout game” from madden that would give like +5 speed or something like that to a player that is having a great season, the show does a terrible job developing players throughout the season
It happens in like March to October but yeah it should be in franchise

Mozzicato was a monster in HS. He was the goods and if he FB can hit 94 on the regular and locate everything he will be a mid rotation piece.
Yo dude. You can and should change your scouts! it's under Acquisitions-Staff Contracts. Discovery is great for literally everything except for catchers, then you need efficiency and pitchers or position players after that. And yes, once you discover the pitchers, infielders, and outfielders in all the regions, fire your discovery scouts and hire your efficient ones. It does not cost you more money to do this.

I think timing based batting is broken on release. I suck at the game so I use timing and I cant hit anything no matter what. You actually make contact more often when you're early than when you're "good" or "perfect" timing

this and falcons franchise are an iconic duo. this series will be so amazing. i think you need to try an make a move for an upcoming batter prospect or get a bad teams pick for one of your older guys.

@brennan- you get picks where you finish because the draft is in a weird place in the start to mid season so you can trade for them when they actually are on the team
@@dashedape Oh so thats why in the game you’ll see like for example that 88ovr pitcher in the beginning of this vid traded for an old guy and a 70ovr prospect. pretty much like tee higgins for a 1st rd pick and a competent older olineman in nfl terms. thanks for the info

You should do a franchise series with the Angels eventually now that Ohtani is gone. You still have trout but without Ohtani it won’t be as easy. I know you like to start with bad/young teams and I think the Angels are kind of that now. As sad as that is for me to say as an Angels fan.
