play this game enough and that shit is second nature.. and required to beat the game really took me 100 hrs to beat this game when it came out and i didnt struggle on any part for long
Yokai shift was my favorite part of the game! It was so satisfying to counter an enemy and stagger them, fit in some hits then perform a finisher. I loved the effect and the sound design of it too, had this heavy impactful feel to it.
@@drakocollins960 yes infact I ended the whole game including all dlc with brute only brute is very nice but if u want any other option go for phantom these 2 are best
I really hated Living Weapon in Nioh 1. It was incredibly OP, it was immensely binary in its use, and it felt completely tacked on. Yokai Shift felt really weak for some time - until I realized that not only do you get stupid amounts of anima, you also get the different benefits from the 3 forms AND the enhanced finishers. I love it.
The only cool thing about Living Weapon is how William summons the guardian spirit and each weapon has a unique animation when activating it. I agree it is a bit boring and easily abtainable. Yokai Shift is not as powerful but is also a lot more fun and requires more knowledge to use effectively.
tbh living weapon had its fun unique uses, just no one cared about them. But for example, the hi-nezumi instant lw build was really fun, it charged imediately, you could basically use it as a part of your regular moveset. Especially with the spear, and celestial spear and wild spear attacks. And it even restored your onmyo every time. Plus it didn't have op damage so you could still enjoy the fights.
00:06 - 00:10 was such a badass moment. I never thought to do that until I watched this video. It's always fun to learn cool new ways to avoid attacks.
You can also hold strong attack to absorb the amrita into your weapon, increasing your damage and adding back to your gauge (It's increased even more if you have the secret skills from Otakemaru with pants).
