The part about Natlan possibly having to let go of their "rules" in order to survive reminds me of the Constellation Metropole from the 4.8 event - the city was being invaded and the people didn't want to let go of the Goddess's gift of protection, but it was only after they let go of this gift, that they could save the city
The Summer patches do foreshadow the upcoming chapters They introduced the importance names/titles in Teyvat, which is especially important in Natlan, so I see that happening as well
You know I think you might be right Capitano even specifically says the old way isnt working. So I wont be surprised if we find out things are a lot more complex then we realize.
Oh that could actually very well be the case, seeing as how the summer events often foreshadow the things we get next. This summer event also foreshadowed alpacas, flying squirrels, dragons, and uhh, probably some other things I can’t remember rn, but that I also noticed while in Natlan, lol. So yeah, I feel like the summer events often are Hoyo’s way of preparing us for what’s about to come next! So this year’s summer event probably took a lot of inspiration from Natlan! Edit: Last year we got the Hydro Eidolon thingies and wasn’t that around the time when we got Fontaine archon quests..?? (Idk since I didn’t play archon quests right after they came out. In fact I only did them very recently, lol!) Edit 2: Oh and before that we had the water fairy thing that fell in love with an old man, and it turned out to be an Oceanid. And it reminds me of what happened during first parts of Fontaine Archon quests, omg!
Thinking about Mavuika's self-sacrificing tendencies, I was somehow hoping she'd get a lesson of "practicing what you preach" since they do say "nobody fights alone in Natlan" yet her "convoluted" plan purposely puts her in severe disadvantages. In 5.0 post AQ dialogues with her, she spoke she purposely left every other possible heroes in the past because she couldn't bear to have them be separated from their families and friends yet she decided to go alone and separate herself from hers and thought it's okay 😭 I personally don't think she's gonna be Himeko'd not because Hoyo is scared of not profit or anything (I mean they have lots of playable dead characters in HI3rd lmao) but because they've built this obvious flaw of her, shouldering burdens all on her own and keeping secrets, when she should've shared some of her burdens with others. By her learning and overcoming this lesson, then I feel she'd be a fully developed character. Then again, we do not possess the specific information she and the chosen ones have just yet so I'm sure she definitely has her reasons. Anyway a theory to throw out there: the reason she waited specifically for 500 years to enact this plan is that she's actually waiting for the Traveler to pop up. Someone from Masters of Night Wind perhaps foretold about a descender (outlander who has the ability to change the world) and Mavuika be like "kay I guess that's what I actually need". She didn't say how she knew about us when we first met, so she's pretty much anticipating our arrival, but didn't want to force the Traveler to help Natlan by force/obligation and wants us to help by our own volition after experience what we experienced in 5.0 AQ, much like how she's rather passive with the chosen hero from Night Wind and Feather-Flower.
I wonder if maybe mavuika will sacrifice herself and somehow the people of natlan will find a way for ressurect her in 4.3 in one last ode to resurrection and maybe somehow end the system afterwards

6:38 so it’s mentioned that this line may mean that Capitano wants to sacrifice something Mavuika or perhaps the country as a whole values in order to save Natlan. But I’d like to point out that he doesn’t claim he’s trying to save Natlan, he says he’s trying to save /humanity/ which is not at all the same thing. This also means the thing he’s trying to sacrifice for the greater good may be Natlan itself. I think this is one of the less likely possibilities, but not something that is fully impossible.
@@bluecat3338 reading this, makes me think he's trying to sacrifice the gnosis as it's also extremely important lore wise, since it also contradicts the fatui fighting against the abyss if it were to sacrifice Natlan as a whole be it to save a nation or just all of humanity 🥲
My interpretation is that he wants to sacrifice the Lord of the Night. It's totally possible that it could be classic hoyo misdirection and these are lines from two different dialogues, but Mavuika says "a land without the Lord of the Night, wituout the protection of the rules.. is doomed from the start." And the immediate next line is Capitano saying "you presume too much." Maybe Capitano plans to somehow sacrifice the entire knight kingdom to deal a decisive blow to the abyss, but Mavuika is afraid its too risky of a plan, or it would leave Natlan as too much of a mess?
@@aduckonaplane3816 Yeah. Based on the summer update, I’d say the most likely thing to be sacrificed would be the lord of the night, the night kingdom, or some other variation that means the safety net of resurrection that Natlan once relied on will no longer be in place. I’ll still argue that Capitano doesn’t say he’s trying to save Natlan and the sacrifice he’s arguing for may not necessarily be for their benefit. Although, again based on the summer update, I think it will at least work out well in the end and may even have been the plan of whoever set those rules up in the first place for them to eventually fail.
I think he wants to sacrifice the Night Kingdom, the Wayob, and the Lord of the Night. The Night Kingdom and everything within it is extremely corrupted by Abyssal power, so destroying it would solve all of Natlan’s problems. Mavuika wants to save the Wayob and the Lord of the Night, important beings to Natlan who have been right there alongside its people since time immemorial, while Capitano believes their deaths are worth the preservation of humanity.
nah Her Gnosis has a drum motif as well like Raiden... it seems that knight gnoses are designed as (war) drums.. that means that the hydro and dendro gnosis are bishop pieces. it would make sense. warriror archons (electro pyro) - knights defender archons (geo cryo) - towers strategist archons (dendro hydro) - bishops a fcking drunkard - queen the traveler - has the king piece inside him hence he is able to resonate with the elements unlike his sister. it may also be the reason why the traveler is so important but weak at the same time compared to the archons. the king is the weakest piece but the most important.
I think Paimon has the king piece. She is named after a demon from Ars Goetia as the archons; has a crown and the symbol of the omni-element (which can be all the other elements in tcg); she led the traveler to the statue where they got their power and said something like "normal people can't do that, but of course you got powers since you're not from this world" like it was obvious, so she knows how descenders work... Probably from the time she was one?; In one of traveler's voice-lines, Paimon claims to be the god of "protection", we know the four descenders have the power to "create", "sustain", "destroy" and *"protect"* the world; she has the four pointed star with one point extended which represent a shooting star falling in the world (same as traveler) on her design; Kazuha said both the traveler AND Paimon smell like the stars; we know from Heizou hangout that Paimon has a secret; and I can go on and on all day...
I see traveler as being a pawn piece due to fact he change any to any element, starting weak, and can become important. Pawns when they reach the other end of the chess board can become any piece they want except for the king.
It wouldn’t make sense narratively for the traveler to have a gnosis. Their whole arc is literally about them being a “witness” to this world. Them just having a piece of said worlds power balance wouldn’t really work thematically.
When Capitano said "If I can go back..." does this means he has an Ancient Name as well? Bc it seems like he knows what happened in the past. Not necessarily he was there 500 years ago.
In case anyone is interested, Ossie at the entrance to the coliseum calls Citlali - "Granny Itztli" Citlali - with Itztli, i think, meaning Obsidian. Could be her Ancient Name i guess. Also, according to Relic Association bulletin board, she seems to be quite a drunk and that there's a rumor of "Citlali's curse" (though association only treats it as such - a rumor). She's also... littering?
The Night Kingdom bears some similarities to the Mayan mythology surrounding Xibalba, the underworld where the souls of the dead reside. It is ruled over by the Maya death gods, lead by Ah Puch. The actual name Xibalba is mentioned twice so far in the lore of the game: in the dialogue of the film being shot in "Lights, Kamera, Action!" and in the name of one of the Local Legends, "Cihuacoatl of Chimeric Bone - Once Walked With the Lord of Xibalba." Note that in that name, the supreme ruler of Xibalba is referred to as "Lord," just like the Lord of the Night Kingdom. It is my guess, then, that the Lord of Xibalba will be named Ah Puch (or his Aztec equivalent, Mictlāntēcutli), or at least that the character in question will have some strong parallels to him.
So about that part where Ororon is being threatened I actually will say that is unlikely and that he is helping Capitano of his own will. Ororon meeting with the Traveler and Paimon could be what leads to their meeting with Capitano where they have that conversation about Mavuika not sharing certain things with them and that they would consider Capitano proposes them something that they might consider after finding out whatever Mavuika was keeping from them. While it does sound odd that Capitano despite having principles is willing to do whatever it takes to save Natlan from its' destruction it's probably as you expected it has reached the point where he has no choice especially since the Abyss have gotten as far as to corrupt the Night Kingdom and even the Wayob. It's gotten so bad to the point an Abyss Portal has emerged from the Stadium of all places and that is where the Sacred Flame is. Although I could imagine whatever Capitano's plan is while it will save the nation from doom it may leave the nation a shell of what it once was and I am guessing it involves as you speculate destroying the Night Kingdom which will also destroy the 500 years of history and culture that has built Natlan to what it is today. Xilonen or Citlali perhaps at the beginning of the trailer spoke of how Mavuika's plan takes too long to put together and anything can go wrong and derail which even the Traveler felt the plan was convoluted. Perhaps what Mavuika isn't sharing could be the price she would have to pay to save Natlan and that includes her reincarnation. That cost and debt could be what Xbalanque and the first sage paid for stealing the Sacred Flame in the first place. Seeing Mavuika push herself so much using her powers throughout the trailer does not bode well for her because at the rate she is going she'll end up killing herself. I am now curious about what revelation will bring when the hidden name in the Pyro Gemstone is unveiled.
i also don't think ororon is being threatened, i think he's *pretending* to be threatened so we will be sympathetic to him and then he'll "betray" us by taking us to capitano. or at least that's what i think it's happening.
Ya I agree big time with this. The conversation between Ororon and Capitano at the end of the 5.0 story didn’t seem to me that Ororon was being forced to aid Capitano. Just by the way Ororon spoke, I can tell that helping him was by his own free will and doesnt agree with Mavuika’s plan. Citlali probably said he was being threatened just by an assumption or maybe even Ororon makes it appear that way for secrecy of what he’s up to
I agree. Ororon does not look like the type to be "threatened" so easily. Either he is trying to "earn" the trust of the Fatui to later sabotage them, or he will end up siding with the Fatui and betraying us in order to get the results needed and keep Natlan safe, but siding with the bad guys...We still don't know enough to truly know!
Well think about it this way. Exactly how much progress has the heroes of Natlan made in battling the Abyss? For 500 years they have through their methods kept the Abyss at bay preventing it from causing any major damage to the nation. However, in terms of significant victories against the Abyss, for now none that we can say is anything to speak of. During that time the Abyss had continued getting stronger and have spread and corrupted the Night Kingdom and the Wayob which has hindered Mavuika's plan. Capitano declared that new rules need to be set in place as he challenged Mavuika to a battle and truth be told, with all that has transpired, he might be right. Perhaps Ororon has realized that the ancient rules that has given Natlan their strength up to this point has became a detriment leading them to their inevitable ruin and breaking those rules is what is needed to end the Natlan's war against the Abyss once and for all. Thus he is betraying Natlan and aiding Capitano to save his homeland at the risk of him being shunned by his nation.
This might be the vaguest trailer Genshin has ever dropped, which only shows how important the lore reveal in this chapter will be. A few things to note, though: - Capitano has always been portrayed as "dangerously honorable" throughout the years. I mean, he roasted Signora during her funeral as if she hadn't been roasted enough 😭. It wouldn't be a surprise if his goal all along was to ensure Natlan's survival without the Gnosis. - It's important to note that Capitano said "similar," not "same." This confirms that the people he mentioned differ from those Mavuika held dear. - The special animation showcased a Pyro user helping the Traveler, whom he seemed to know (judging by his expression). This is pure speculation, but it feels too obvious if it hints towards Mavuika....but there's no other pyro user in Natlan, so who could it be? Currently, Ronova (Shade of Death) and Hunahpu (Xbalanque's brother) are the two figures most likely to be the lords of the Night Kingdom. - Just like Makoto, Xbalanque used the divine throne to borrow power from the shades, specifically Ronova (mentioned in the archon quest). - There is also a reference to the Mayan hero twins, in which Hunahpu becomes the sun while Xbalanque becomes the moon (whose roles might have been reversed in Teyvat). The weirdest part is Mavuika's death flag, to be honest. If she indeed got Himeko-ed and left us with a big cliffhanger for Natlan... would the Traveler really go "oh no, anyway" and head back to Sumeru to celebrate Nahida's birthday? Just feels off to me, dude.
The lord of the night is referred to as a "she" in some languages, mine (portuguese) included, so my bet is that Ronova is the lord of the night kingdom, it would not be the 1st time the EN localization has some issues with the "lord" title (little grass lord nahida, lord knave arlechinno). Also the power to undo death is pretty f-ing strong and something not even other archons in their prime were able to replicate (ei with makoto, zhongli with guizong, venti with the nameless bard, rukkha (and deshret) with Nabu Malikata) so it makes sense that such power would come from THE shade of death

Can we just talk about our sibling? They are the prince/princess of the Abyss Order and obviously can use abyssal power. If they truly care about Teyvat and want to destroy the celestia, why would they allow for Natlan to be destroyed? There must be a reason. Maybe natlan or the original archon did something to the abyss or khanreah? Or maybe destruction of natlan would finally awaken the heavenly principles? And since the loom of fate is complete, maybe the abyss order is ready for a war or something

I agree that Capitano might want to destroy the ancient names so that Natlan's people can be free from their fate of battling the abyss. But for Mavuika, this is too uncertain and unsure. The story so far of Teyvat has been consistently about people being free from fate. Mondstadt was already free, so it was Durin's turn to be free from his curse of protecting Mondstadt. Liyue was freed by Rex Lapis from the rule of the adepti. Inazuma was freed from Ei's wrong concept of eternity, that is why in her second story she allowed Inazumans to progress with their lives. Sumeru was about people being free from the restrictions of the Akasha, that they need to search for knowledge instead of getting it directly from the Akasha. Fontaine's people was freed from their 'sin.' And now we will see in Natlan the ancient name bearers will be free from their fates.
i think aether's/ lumine's ancient name would be 'Aym" or 'Haborym' which could make Mauvika realise that its time to give up the mantle and the wayob has chosen its next pyro archon. Nobody but Mauvika would understand this plan because only she knew the ancient name, and maybe in the future patches, we could go bring her back, through ressurection as we are the Pyro Archon.
I'm intrigued by mavuika's power, because in the 5.0 archon quest she clearly said that she can never give that glow to her hairs again, yet we see her doing that in the 5.1 trailer.
When Mavuika is talking about "The Lord of the Night", for some reason the CC in spanish refers to them as "She", and is not the first time they had done this for a character we weren't suppose to know the gender yet, and that remind me of that theory that the entity that helped Xbalanqe is probably one of the shades and is also in charge of the whole Nights Kingdom. But since spanish is a bit more... Weird/complicated when is about pronouns, could it be just a translation error, but I do hope they gave us some Celestia lore bc no way they were wake up to stop some random blonde twins, but not for a world ender pet, the awakening of their rivals (sovereign), the abyss destroying the world, and some random punk group (abyss order) copying their homework to create a new system.
@@karbonkat 100% not. Ororon was standing in front of Capitano, but Capitano in that scene turned beside. And highly unlikely it was some fatui-soldier, so that might be someone unknown or that presence, that Mavuika felt inside Capitano
actually, if you look closely, that scene had Capitano holding his heart. in Japanese, he says "koko" which roughly translates to "here". he probably means Ororon has read his memories and is already in the know of who he actually is. Masters of the Night Wind does have fate reading talents
A good theory I heard is that he wasn't looking down at someone, but at the burn wound Mavuika left. After the fight, Mavuika said she sensed something inside the Captain. It might be that she sensed that through her punch, and Capitano knows that too.
Fair view. My perspective is aligned with other theories out there, that they are all king pieces of their own chess set. So to speak. But the chess theory is just kinda disregarded now as it has no true meaning with it per se. Like they just simply designed the gnosis based on the king piece, as such all had to be unique. That's my take on it. Theories are theories tho. So I'm down for whatever comes out way for their reasoning on the matter.
i think mauvika dies and revives but she is no longer the pyro archon i think and someone else will hold the power iansan? i highly think captain wont become an archon traveller becoming an archon makes a lot sense but..iit doesnt tie to the story yknow he is a traveller why would he become an archon whent here are ppl who are like more powerful and are from tevyat so i think maybe iansan? or maybe the yknow no one will become maybe the seat will be destroyed like in fontaine?
What excites me on 5.1 version is the war against Abyss which is actually foreshadowed by those Fatui corp we met and helped escaped way back in the Chasm and it's finally happening
An important factor to consider is, what is the radius of devastation caused by destroying a gnosis? Probably less than that of Apep's death, but at least as bad as with Goddess of Salt.
@@kotarouinugami1745Considering a gnosis is a remain of an outlander who was able to even reach teyvat then it would be way way way bigger than god of salt's impact or orobashi Or nothing at all cus their constitution would be different than that of a teyvatian? @@Sam-je2xj The main limitation would be that a gnosis is not a living being at all, so it has all the reasons to be different from a typical god or elemental dragon. Still, it can't be entirely safe to break it, as it's a conduit of godlike power.

From what I know, all Vision Bearers have Gold Casings in shapes of their respective Nations. So, I have never seen anyone with Silver Casings for their visions except for Fatuis and Habringers, so Ororon might secretly be a Fatui or Habringer.
At the end of the 4th anniversary animated trailer (the part right after the eyes of many monsters are burned) a stone appears with a tribe symbol, it probably has a connection with all of this since it reminded me of those flames in the natlan trailer
2:57 Remember Simulanka event? The summer events always foretell the upcoming archon quests. Prior to Inazuma we faced off a puppet on Golden Apple Archiepalego; Prior to Sumeru it was GAA again but new islands were formed because of dreams; Prior to Fontaine the bottleland had basically oceanid humans... Now let's check the Natlan and Simulanka plots. Ororon turning out to be the main hero despite perceived not so? Wanderer. Check. Ororon being anemo and wanderer also anemo? Check. Wanderer was scaramouche in the fatui but now he is against the fatui? Same with speculation of Ororon. Check. Well, guess Ororon will turn against Fatui and become the surprising real hero to save Natlan...
Maybe Mavuika will sacrifice herself with the gnosis to do s.t to save Natlan in 5.1, Natlan saved in 5.2, then in 5.3 the Traveler with do s.t to earned the power of Pyro, recreate the gnosis and revive her (with the power of the 4'th decender)
I think Mavuika is gonna have to sacrifice the night kingdom and ancient names, doing this would solve the issues with the abyss, but would also destroy the 'rules' that allow humans to become the archon. She'll ascend to Celestia, like Vanessa did, and become the pyro archon reborn or 'resurrected'. And once she becomes the true pyro archon, we get pyro traveler :). Don't you think it's weird that statue of the seven in Natlan looks alot like Mavuika? Like it was written in Irmunsul that she was always meant to be the Pyro Archon? We also CANNOT ignore "The Children of Murata" the red-haired Natlanders that Vanessa heirs from? They were scattered all across Teyvat right? Is Mavuika a decendant of Murata? Or is Mavuika THE MOTHER OF MURATA THUS USHERING THE "CHILDREN OF MURATA?" (Last one was a joke, but still all valid questions right?)
The reason is that when the archon's were established and their statues started existing 500 years ago, it took the form of the victor god or the one in possession of the gnosis And guess who was the current archon/had the gnosis at that time? Mavuika herself So Idk where your theory is going Still good points tho
Looking at patterns of people from each region, every archon quest basically solve its people's issues. Sumeru people originally can't have a dream because of akasha, after the archon quest people of Sumeru finally can dream again. Fountainians are oceanids and basically not yet a true human since primordial water can dissolve them, again the archon quest solve this issue. Same goes with Inazuma's eternity, Liyue's contract, and Mondstadt's freedom. Probably the next archon quest saves people of natlan, in the end they dont need wayob/ancient names anymore so they can leave natlan region without any side effects
Ororon is also the third character that has a silver vision instead of a gold one. Something that was fatui exclusive till now so maybe he is the missing harbinger or atleast has a deeper connection to them as it semm
I would love for ororon to be an electro shielder or a healer with good electro application ,i really want more shielders in the game . especially electro hydro anemo and dendro too .
If its Gnosis that can solve and the problem that is have a huge price... So it's like playing chess if you are King you would make a decision of sacrificing your pieces for you to get what you desire
I think we might get a mini finale this patch, like how some anime or shows have a timeskip, that might be why 5.3 is now the end of the story instead of 5.2.
i would imagine the hidden name in the Pyro Gemstone is someone's ancient name, as it mentions "truth" in the same breath (the memories of the fallen hero)
10:03 a character death is something I've been expecting for a while. The only character death we technically had was Kachina but we bring her back. I'd make the story more interesting, since deaths do happen in Genshin, but only to NPCs.
I feel like we need to give someone a new fate. The objects we get from completing tribes say something that reminds me of the stars in constellation metropole. At some point it was said that Natlan has ancient names and the night kingdom. So they are not bound by fate or sth like that. Maybe we will make a fate for Natlan, binding it to Celestian rules?
My speculation is that Mavuika will "die", and someone will perform the Ode to Ressurection for her in 5.3, bringing her back. Traveler will hold the Pyro Gnosis and maybe even become the Pyro Archon( Or the Throne is destroyed too and the Sovereign comes back, IDK), and have an upper hand in Snezhnaya since the Fatui won't be able to execute their final plan right away, and thus, they either would have to kill the Traveler( and with them having an ancient name, they could be resurrected in Natlan) to bring them to their side.
It just occurred to me. We know the gnosis are the remains of the 3rd descender. What if the third descender unlocked their power like we do, by traveling the nation, and they died after reaching all other nations but before unlocking the pyro powers? This would mean that there would be no pyro gnosis (I imagine the gnosis to be the manifestation of each element they possessed). The current pyro gnosis (and archon, if you think about it) are way different than the others: they are both clearly higly infused with ploginston. To the point the gnosis seems made out of it. What if, to make the pyro gnosis, celestia had to sacrifice both a lot of ploginston and the Natlan lay line system (therefore making it the weakest of the continent and weakening Natlan as a whole vs the abyss)? And what if the price to pay to save Natlan is returning said ploginston and lay lines to their rightful place, destroying the gnosis and awekening the heavenly principles in the process? The way I see it, the 3rd descender had his elements directly from the dragon sovereigns before the cataclysm, but failed to get the pyro one because the pyro sovereign hated humans and refused to help the descender. So he failed his quest. His body turned into 6 gnoses and ended up aiding the usurpers in the end. But the pyro dragon probably took his powers in his grave out of spite, so in order to have a pyro throne, Natlan had to sacrifice something (ploginston and lay lines). Heck, the lord of the night could very well be the spirit of the 3rd descender, trying to protect Natlan even tho he failed his journey. Ps. So far we know the strongest fighters in Natlan have an ancient name. This implies mavuika must have one too. But she doesn't talk about it. What if it's the ancient name of the 3rd descender, who got it in an attempt to be accepted by the pyro dragon (and mavuika wants to forge us a name as a back up plan in case she fails with her plan, so our spirit can be inherited by some future Natlanian?). Or maybe Vanessa? Something big might happen
Damn I think now in a theory based on a joke made with Capitano being a Firefly from genshin, imagine if Capitano is Mavuika sister! She said will found a way to meet Mavuika in the future but Mavuika don't know nothing her sister did in the past and even said nothing that her sister did exist anymore, just the ruins in the scions of canopy mountain(and if you remember they saurian companion was the Dendro one
I think Xbalanque was Capitano. He steps down as an archon so that people of natlan could become an archon. Thats the reason he knows what happen to natlan 500 years ago when mavuika was also the archon that time, and also he knows about a part of mavuikas plan. That is my theory.
The plot is heavily resembles of the metropole kingdom incident with king navia and her citizens. The stopping time and rewind is similar to the ressurection technique. The only way to save the kingdom is to move on and lift the blessings of the goddess. Which is also what is natlan heading to. Then if it's really like true we will face the "narrator" A.k.a the true mastermind a.k.a the first being created by the goddess behind the lastest incident. Does that mean the narrator will be Xbalanque. And the misunderstood evil dragon who attacked the country is xiuhcoatl? Will we (the hero) met the spirit of pyro sovereign and learn some truth just like how wanderer (hero) learn something about the truth.
maybe hoyo planning to sacrifice her and resurect her like a phoenix so we get the playable version after the resurection which doesnt have overpower ability as an active archon like how we get venti, without the vision, zhongli with his human form, raiden with her puppet, rukhadevata with nahida, and focalor with furina
Citlali in the trailers and all the teasers looked very detailed. In game she looks like she's still in beta. Everything is pretty much same color and there are no distinct outlines
I think that we're going to work with Capitano thru Ororon, its just that i want to remember what was Varka's description about Capitano when he was "working with him". Sorry I cant find it.
Maybe before Mavuika sacrifices herself this time, she passes the pyro gnosis to the traveller (who already has an ancient name) granting him/her the ability to resonate with pyro. The traveller then goes to Snezhnaya and passes the pyro gnosis to the Cryo archon.
I was 100% sure that Ororon was going to be Cryo because he and Citlali are both from the same tribe. Seems like the nightwind tribe is the first tribe with a variety of vision wielders.
I'm pretty sure Mavuika burned the Gnosis to get more power. We learned that objects with heavy memories can help her get some of her power back (that's how she got us out of the Night Kingdom). The Gnosis has existed for about 2000 years and has been in the hands of every Pyro Archon, so it likely hold a lot of memories If we look at the trailer, Mavuika stands inside the Stadium with the Gnosis in her left hand. Then, she is shown with her left hand closed, then with a small flame. After that, she is able to use a lot of Pyro energy again, enough to send a large beam to the skies
Not memory, thing be used or existed in fighting in long time in natlan will have “ fighting flame” This “ fighting flame” is what mavuika can use as a power source
This is probably untrue coming from me, but I think that the price is that Natlan will no longer be able to go to war against the Abyss because they will lose all their Nightsoul powers should they sacrifice all their Ancient Names to bring peace. Then it becomes sort of how like you bring Natlan characters outside of Natlan, their abilities seem half as powerful without a source of phlogiston. Maybe the power of the Gnosis is divided into hundreds of Ancient Names, thus giving each hero some measure of immortality, and Capitano wants to combine that power back into the Gnosis and bring it to the Tsaritsa. Or to Pierro, since Mavuika sensed that Capitano wasn't strictly aligned with the Tsaritsa during their battle.
I want to point out that when her hair turned pale yellow flame, she is actually using Nightsoul Blessing. The glowing lines are visible there if you look closely
The Price to pay to solve Natlan issues is Mavuika own life. Mavuika is not going to do that for now bcs no one can replace her. We just know that she puts her own life into the Sacred Flame, we don’t know how she became the Pyro Archon. Tbh, no candidate to become a Pyro Archon rn, so Mavuika cannot sacrifice herself to solve Natlan issues. ** take this as grain of salt only. ** The Price to Pay to solve Natlan’s issues indeed Mavuika’s life.
In Fontaine we saw the hydro archon destroy her divine throne and our sibling also told us that the heavenly principles are asleep, so nahida pulled a massive bluff on dottore, and she probably knew the heavenly principles were asleep, since she's the god of wisdom, so I don't think mavuika will try to destroy the pyro gnosis
If the Pyro Archon does actually sacrifice herself, it could be yet another tie to the whole "resurrection" theme in Natlan and would be interesting to see.
Mavuika dying and being resurrected is like the only way to end this arc. I just want to see a proper animated cutscene for ode of resurrection. The one done for Kachina was so underwhelming coz people were just standing doing nothing. The music is so good that an animated cutscene is needed to give it justice.
It looks like there is an Avengers: End Game reference in 5.1. Not just the battle scene but Mavuika might be like Iron Man that will sacrifice herself to finish the Abyss.
The part about Natlan possibly having to let go of their "rules" in order to survive reminds me of the Constellation Metropole from the 4.8 event - the city was being invaded and the people didn't want to let go of the Goddess's gift of protection, but it was only after they let go of this gift, that they could save the city
The Summer patches do foreshadow the upcoming chapters
They introduced the importance names/titles in Teyvat, which is especially important in Natlan, so I see that happening as well
You know I think you might be right Capitano even specifically says the old way isnt working. So I wont be surprised if we find out things are a lot more complex then we realize.
100%
In fact I only did them very recently, lol!)
Edit 2: Oh and before that we had the water fairy thing that fell in love with an old man, and it turned out to be an Oceanid. And it reminds me of what happened during first parts of Fontaine Archon quests, omg!
Perhaps Mavuika plan is actually to revive or save Pyro dragon would reflect what happened in the metropole event
Thinking about Mavuika's self-sacrificing tendencies, I was somehow hoping she'd get a lesson of "practicing what you preach" since they do say "nobody fights alone in Natlan" yet her "convoluted" plan purposely puts her in severe disadvantages. In 5.0 post AQ dialogues with her, she spoke she purposely left every other possible heroes in the past because she couldn't bear to have them be separated from their families and friends yet she decided to go alone and separate herself from hers and thought it's okay 😭
I personally don't think she's gonna be Himeko'd not because Hoyo is scared of not profit or anything (I mean they have lots of playable dead characters in HI3rd lmao) but because they've built this obvious flaw of her, shouldering burdens all on her own and keeping secrets, when she should've shared some of her burdens with others.
Ooo that's a good take
That was also the impression I got. But it's interesting how non-pushy and non-interventive the archon of Pyro and conflict is.
Okay dude, if she was a Man you'd call her a Chad.
@@unturned6066Every Archon subverts expectations of their ideal.

It's totally possible that it could be classic hoyo misdirection and these are lines from two different dialogues, but Mavuika says "a land without the Lord of the Night, wituout the protection of the rules.. is doomed from the start." And the immediate next line is Capitano saying "you presume too much."
Maybe Capitano plans to somehow sacrifice the entire knight kingdom to deal a decisive blow to the abyss, but Mavuika is afraid its too risky of a plan, or it would leave Natlan as too much of a mess?
@@bluecat3338 капитано пожертвует собой
I think he wants to sacrifice the Night Kingdom, the Wayob, and the Lord of the Night. The Night Kingdom and everything within it is extremely corrupted by Abyssal power, so destroying it would solve all of Natlan’s problems. Mavuika wants to save the Wayob and the Lord of the Night, important beings to Natlan who have been right there alongside its people since time immemorial, while Capitano believes their deaths are worth the preservation of humanity.
nah Her Gnosis has a drum motif as well like Raiden... it seems that knight gnoses are designed as (war) drums.. that means that the hydro and dendro gnosis are bishop pieces. it would make sense.
warriror archons (electro pyro) - knights
defender archons (geo cryo) - towers
strategist archons (dendro hydro) - bishops
a fcking drunkard - queen
the traveler - has the king piece inside him hence he is able to resonate with the elements unlike his sister. it may also be the reason why the traveler is so important but weak at the same time compared to the archons. the king is the weakest piece but the most important.
I am inclined to king irmin has the king piece. Cause khaenriah is the last nation the traveler is going to visit.
It wouldn’t make sense narratively for the traveler to have a gnosis. Their whole arc is literally about them being a “witness” to this world. Them just having a piece of said worlds power balance wouldn’t really work thematically.
No trav wont have any piece. Becoz why would he carry 3rd descender remains and travel across the 7 nations ? The other ones are probably true.
When Capitano said "If I can go back..." does this means he has an Ancient Name as well? Bc it seems like he knows what happened in the past. Not necessarily he was there 500 years ago.

Ororon vision being Greyish/Silver is interesting as the only other characters that I know of with Greyish/Silver visions are Arlecchino and Childe.
@@akinohikari1000 More like give the Traveler an audience with Capitano and he give his take on the thing.
A few things to note, though:
- Capitano has always been portrayed as "dangerously honorable" throughout the years.
When dead, she will just chill in the Night Kindom like Kachina, while we quest to rez her.

Fontaine's people was freed from their 'sin.' And now we will see in Natlan the ancient name bearers will be free from their fates.
i believe capitano here for the gnosis and also to help natlan from the abyss, if it is, we might actually fighting together with fatui and capitano
i think aether's/ lumine's ancient name would be 'Aym" or 'Haborym' which could make Mauvika realise that its time to give up the mantle and the wayob has chosen its next pyro archon. Nobody but Mauvika would understand this plan because only she knew the ancient name, and maybe in the future patches, we could go bring her back, through ressurection as we are the Pyro Archon.
Traveler could pull a plan giving the Pyro Gnosis with a condition for going to Snezhnaya
I'm intrigued by mavuika's power, because in the 5.0 archon quest she clearly said that she can never give that glow to her hairs again, yet we see her doing that in the 5.1 trailer.
I love Ororon's design 😊 I just hope his kit is good.
0:26 lol it and her collors look very familiar (I know why)
Because she is March 7th:v

I CANT WAIT 5.1 ARCHONT QUEST ANYMORE!!
Xilonen is the first Geo character I've been excited since Zhongli. Her kit is really interesting.
I see we are slowly but steadily getting more and more aligned with the Fatui...
How to explain that line where Capitano turns to the camera and says "you've heard something, didnt you?"
Maybe ororon heard the pyro archon when spying on them but didn't expose it
@@karbonkat 100% not. Ororon was standing in front of Capitano, but Capitano in that scene turned beside. And highly unlikely it was some fatui-soldier, so that might be someone unknown or that presence, that Mavuika felt inside Capitano
Maybe he's actually breaking the 4th wall lol😂
actually, if you look closely, that scene had Capitano holding his heart. in Japanese, he says "koko" which roughly translates to "here". he probably means Ororon has read his memories and is already in the know of who he actually is.
The part that confuses me is the claim that all seven gnoses are King pieces coz others don't look like a King piece in my eyes
I'm pretty sure that it's because other cultures have different types of crowns for their king/highest ruler (if you're talking about the head thing)
So far the Archons have had very identical similarities with their slime counter parts... The big pyro slime always explodes after battle sooo....
If Mavuika dies, Who will be next Pyro Archon?
Iansan, and that would explain her using pyro in the Travails teaser
Traveler, obviously.
i think mauvika dies and revives but she is no longer the pyro archon i think and someone else will hold the power iansan? i highly think captain wont become an archon traveller becoming an archon makes a lot sense but..iit doesnt tie to the story yknow he is a traveller why would he become an archon whent here are ppl who are like more powerful and are from tevyat so i think maybe iansan? or maybe the yknow no one will become maybe the seat will be destroyed like in fontaine?
@@SirsasthNigam. iansan most likely
@@lenon3579ify no shes just crazy strong I mean shes the best trainer in all of natlan for a reason after all. Its most likely going to be traveler
What excites me on 5.1 version is the war against Abyss which is actually foreshadowed by those Fatui corp we met and helped escaped way back in the Chasm and it's finally happening
The question remains:
Is it better to destroy the gnosis and risk awakening the heavenly principles, or let it fall into the Tsaritsa’s hands?
An important factor to consider is, what is the radius of devastation caused by destroying a gnosis?
Probably less than that of Apep's death, but at least as bad as with Goddess of Salt.
@@kotarouinugami1745Considering a gnosis is a remain of an outlander who was able to even reach teyvat then it would be way way way bigger than god of salt's impact or orobashi
Or nothing at all cus their constitution would be different than that of a teyvatian? Teyvat beings? Idk
We also have to consider if the heavenly principle really cares about gnosis, they didn't do anything even when the hydro throne was destroyed and a sovereign rose to power
I think nahida also said it was a gamble if the heavenly principle really would be wrathful upon a gnosis's destruction
@@Sam-je2xj The main limitation would be that a gnosis is not a living being at all, so it has all the reasons to be different from a typical god or elemental dragon.
Still, it can't be entirely safe to break it, as it's a conduit of godlike power.
This man connected something from celestial trailer to 5.1 trailer after 4 years. INSANE
seeing citlali's markings on her faces reminded me of urd from ah my goddess manga/anime
I don't think Mavuika will die at the end of the quest considering she will be 100% playable on later patchs
Ode of resurrection tho
@@BlueDaisy33 let's hope she can still be played as archon style. I'd hate to see another Furina situation. Nothing wrong with Furina, but like the story and playable profiles.
@@brianverville5031 She's a woman, the lostname will be some man and like Neuvulette will take over.
Because fuck women in this game lol
Who knows maybe genshin is gonna pull a hsr
@benni2974 she is the Pyro Archon ? What do you need more ?
From what I know, all Vision Bearers have Gold Casings in shapes of their respective Nations.
So, I have never seen anyone with Silver Casings for their visions except for Fatuis and Habringers, so Ororon might secretly be a Fatui or Habringer.
Citlali is giving faruzan/fuxuan vibes
Mavuika is the best archon, in my eyes, at least. considering her down to earth and selfless nature she... might actually do it ;(
At the end of the 4th anniversary animated trailer (the part right after the eyes of many monsters are burned) a stone appears with a tribe symbol, it probably has a connection with all of this since it reminded me of those flames in the natlan trailer

Remember Simulanka event?
She's the first Archon we've encountered actively guarding her Gnosis. She's also the first we've seen actually using it in battle.
@@PlasticChair86 nah i want an authentic final lesson experience
Honestly your theory completed mine 😭
The reason is that
when the archon's were established and their statues started existing 500 years ago, it took the form of the victor god or the one in possession of the gnosis
And guess who was the current archon/had the gnosis at that time? Mavuika herself
So Idk where your theory is going
Still good points tho

War flash backs over here 9:05
Cat WithBlueHat new video!!!!!
Something that was fatui exclusive till now so maybe he is the missing harbinger or atleast has a deeper connection to them as it semm
master of the night winds tribe has the best design characters for me, definitely gonna pull for ororon and citlali
Mavuika fitting the Himeko allegations. Hoyo wants to teach us a lesson from previous archon quest Focalor. I'M NOT READYY FOR THIS😭😭😭
Yay I was hoping you’d post this 🎉
After Each Trailer,we come here😂.Damn
I would love for ororon to be an electro shielder or a healer with good electro application ,i really want more shielders in the game . especially electro hydro anemo and dendro too .
We got Fu Xuan and Moze in Genshin now lmao. Looking forward to delve more into the story. Natlan has really been giving war vibes.
Wait…if we got an ancient name would that mean our information is recorded in Irminsul too?? What if that’s why the fatui burn it down
i would imagine the hidden name in the Pyro Gemstone is someone's ancient name, as it mentions "truth" in the same breath (the memories of the fallen hero)
Now it looks like we’re gonna have a different situation with the new Natlan quest unlike the Sumeru Desert area.
10:03 a character death is something I've been expecting for a while. The only character death we technically had was Kachina but we bring her back. I'd make the story more interesting, since deaths do happen in Genshin, but only to NPCs.
4:01 so it basically means that we technically will become a Natlan citizen, which means that pyro traveler will be released soon
Finally a thumbnail where you answer the question.. at least to me
I feel like we need to give someone a new fate. The objects we get from completing tribes say something that reminds me of the stars in constellation metropole. At some point it was said that Natlan has ancient names and the night kingdom. So they are not bound by fate or sth like that. Maybe we will make a fate for Natlan, binding it to Celestian rules?
maybe Ororon is working like a double agent like "Itachi of the Leaf"
My speculation is that Mavuika will "die", and someone will perform the Ode to Ressurection for her in 5.3, bringing her back. Traveler will hold the Pyro Gnosis and maybe even become the Pyro Archon( Or the Throne is destroyed too and the Sovereign comes back, IDK), and have an upper hand in Snezhnaya since the Fatui won't be able to execute their final plan right away, and thus, they either would have to kill the Traveler( and with them having an ancient name, they could be resurrected in Natlan) to bring them to their side.
wish ororon will be a 5 star since we dont have electro 5 star bow user
Citlali also gives some fu xuan vibes with the pink aesthetic and future seeing abilities.
I still believe Capitano is Xbalanque.
Exhausted his fire to save his friends and all that was left was the bitter chill.
Ororon is giving moze and citlali is giving fuxuan
That is my theory.
we have no mention of Murata yet
so maybe Traveller finding her name would grant him Pyro
maybe Murata 's name could also restore the Sacred Flame
The Gnosis has existed for about 2000 years and has been in the hands of every Pyro Archon, so it likely hold a lot of memories
If we look at the trailer, Mavuika stands inside the Stadium with the Gnosis in her left hand. Then, she is shown with her left hand closed, then with a small flame. After that, she is able to use a lot of Pyro energy again, enough to send a large beam to the skies
Not memory, thing be used or existed in fighting in long time in natlan will have “ fighting flame”
This “ fighting flame” is what mavuika can use as a power source
Thanks for so usuful and informative video as always ❤❤❤
