I played 'Guess the band' and got the majority of them right. Impeccable interpretations across the board! The two that tripped me up were Polyphia and Darkthrone (wasn't sure if they were intermissions)

I think Bruce sounds more like that on the last couple albums. Mostly in the songs that Steve writes because he does not care that Bruce can’t reach the high notes anymore
Lol? No, he doesn't! You must be confusing his style of singing to sounding strained. 'Cos there is actually a difference in how he USED to sound vs how he sounds now. He had a much wider range before and could hit higher notes and overall his tone was more clean and full of energy! Now it's indeed more strained and tired 'cos he doesn't have the same range anymore and must strain to hit the notes. But he has a very unique voice, which by nature has this sort of strained tone at all times and it's very hard to imitate for a normal man (thou there a bunch of Bruce clones nowadays, but they are all exceptions to the rule).
It's really just the Load/Reload era that doesn't sound like metal and it's also aged pretty badly. They were back to sounding like metal with St Anger, really shit metal though.
