    I have a question though...You never wear mask when working with resin ?? I have read about terrible stories of people that had lung and respiratory issues after working with resin without a mask, so I was curious as myself I now have a mask but few times I did work without it in start...

    Beautiful! Is a black ink used for the darkest color, or a dark blue?

    • @sam.w2854
      @sam.w2854 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Brittany my guess is because of the white base on the other side, the dark side is blue but it’s really deep black and there’s no white for it to run and mix with.

    • @JustResin

      Hi metals, It will stick to the edge if you have rounded the board correctly. It's very important on how the board rolls over.

    How long did you let the first layer dry before you added the second clear pour+pale-tinted resin over the black? I have been experimenting with layering and was curious if you let it completely dry or just waited til it was mostly tacky.

    • @JustResin
      @JustResin  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Around 2 to 4 hours will be fine if you do it within 60 to 90mins you will get lines in the previous layer if you were to have black 1st layer and clear 2nd layer it will give you heaps of depth and looks really cool. :)

    Love your work. Unfortunately, we still cannot jet JR products here in the USA. ArtResin is a good product, but not as fluid as yours. What would you recommend adding to our resin here in the US to make it a bit more pourable?

  • @Dman0001

    just found your channel via Peter browns. Question how much resin is going to waste in over pour or drips. would there be away to design a basin when it runs into a cup for a dirty pour second piece.

    • @JustResin
      @JustResin  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Darren, yes this can be done but the resin will blend a lot and will harden before it could be used in most cases.

    • @Dman0001
      @Dman0001 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just Resin ok was not sure how much open time you normally have.if you have some with longer open times might be interesting to try

    • @JustResin

    When the light blue was added into the dark blue is spread or dispersed. Why is that? What else is used besides resin and ink.

    • @JustResin
      @JustResin  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Aundrae, It's just resin added we don't use additives to lower the viscosity.

    What purpose is the torch for? Does it flash cure it?

    • @DinoSaurChicknNugget
      @DinoSaurChicknNugget 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      James Ryan I think it just helps spread it easier and helps get rid of bubbles/wrinkles maybe idk

    • @lovelyswede
      @lovelyswede 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Quite the opposite. it makes it more fluid and also releases any bubbles.

    what is added to the dark blue at 1.12? is it another colour or just resin and hardener on its own? or am i completely wrong?

    • @JustResin
      @JustResin  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Ashleigh, I've added a light tone of that same blue (transparent).

  • @darylsaxon1829
    @darylsaxon1829 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Your resin seems, from watching a number of your videos, that your resin seems to be a lot more fluid / liquid than other brands of resin that I have watched. Also, you appear to waste quite a bit of the resin in the making of the artworks is this because of the liquidity of the resin?

    • @valhalla4791
      @valhalla4791 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you would like your resin to be of less viscosity-get a shallow bowl and put hot water in it. Prior to mixing your resin and hardener together, set the measuring cup in the bowl w/ the hot water making sure not to get water into the cup. BOOM in about 2 mins of stirring your resin will be more fluid. Your welcome..CHEERS
