My absolute favourite so far... 1:04:00 Lucky Edward 😂😂😂❤ In fact lucky all of them...this was as close to a fairy tale ending as you could get.... And they all lived happily ever after... The end.
The second? Or possibly 3rd time As I was listening towards the end, I was thinking about the handful of comments I have made about the various stories by SM. What is the usefulness . How many times will I pass through the rooms of phrases. Each room could be a period piece. Furniture and wall hanging . Everything expensive, in the perfect taste of that time, the clothes, the manners, the foods on the tables, the manakins in an arrangement of a place inhabited by the Oxbridge classes. I wouldn’t be surprise to find out there iis a sincere nostalgia for that world. From the years just before WW1 until just before World War 2 among the British collectors of fine wines, smart tennis players and weekend golfers, club men. I hope by now they’re given an up the cigars,
Good morning, Sir. I must admit, the robotic narration stopped me after 30 seconds, your post made those 30 seconds worthwhile. Prey tell, what's the craic mucker? Did ye take the stabbie jabbie, or are ye a wee daffy, as one says in Ulster Scots. ✡️
What a beautiful story!! And read out so clearly that I was transported to that era!! Thanks so much for sharing!
I think this ai narrator is extraordinarily good. The future is very much now
This theme of a man going native is recurrent in many of Maugham 's works, most notably 'the moon and sixpence'
Superb ….Jackson’s prison in America was metaphorical for Me ……I know the feeling all too well
