I've only read 2 authors from your list but not the books listed: Moreno García with Mexican gothic and Madeline Miller with Achilles. Loooved Achilles and really liked Gothic! I recommend "The Blood we Spill" by Jo Havens, as well as "Requiem of Immortals" by Lee Winter, they're really good "this is how you lose the time war" gets better with every read, it's one of my all time favorites
I’m literally reading Requiem for Immortals and it’s so good!! I’m halfway through and I’m obsessed with it already. I’m putting The Blood We Spill on my tbr as well because you have excellent taste🔥
@@BooksWaffles good to know, I do have another rec but it's kinda different, the MC is still one that'd just kill you, but, they're also no human, it's one of the best non human perspectives I've read so far "The one who eats monsters" sadly there is no sequel(yet?) but it works perfectly fine as a standalone also, it's YA, but also a queer romance is part of the main story and a big driving factor behind character development
And I darken is SO GOOD and underrated!!! I've read and enjoyed all of these except the Ilona Andrews one and the vampire ones. I feel like Gideon the Ninth definitely qualifies here!! I need to reread it though because it's a bit confusing XD
I love these kind of books but whenever I see these recommendation videos, I realise that I barely read any of them :') Circe was good! I also like it as much as I enjoyed Achilles and I'm crossing my fingers that I'll enjoy anything the author publishes in the future🔪 Thanks for sharing this list 🐢✨️ Didn't expect the time war, it has been on my tbr for ages. It happens to me all the time! There are so many “older” books on my tbr that everyone loves and I don’t seem to find time to pick up. I just read her short story “Galatea” and I enjoyed it as well so it’s 3 out of 3 for me so far. 💖💖💖
