@@floriskroezen78 I've seen self-frosting glass before, but this is the first time I've seen it implemented this way where you could "slide" the effect in and out, which is kind of brilliant and better than the self-tinting approach Mercedes-Benz went for, which does not completely block sun glare. No idea if this existed on the first tycan released or not but I assume it existed considering that they haven't made a big deal about it here.
This car is beautiful. I love that Porsche isn't afraid to give wagons. Plus an EV!? Hopefully the industry will follow suit with the creative potential of the the upcoming EV platforms. Can you please do a video morphing the Mach E into something like this masterpiece?
Those bigger black plastic pieces under the head lights are part of the 'Sport Design Package' on the sedan version. The roof rails are optional both for the Cross Turismo and the Sport Turismo, and you can only configure them combined with the glass roof. The small plastic flaps at bottom of the wheel arches on Cross Turismo are part of the 'Offroad Design Package'.
Well… this is proportionally too different from a crossover/suv, but if you want stunning crossover/suv proportions- look up the Aston Martin DBX. In my opinion, it’s the best looking Crossover/suv of all time.
I'm starting to think the J1 platform can do almost everything for Porsche's 4 door cars. Why have an electric Macan when the Taycan Cross Turismo can do the same job? The Taycan sedan is already basically an electric Panamera, so they just need to make an Executive version to fit that niche. That also means the Taycan XT fills the Panamera ST niche on top of the Macan market. Cayenne is really the only one which doesn't fit the mould, but that can always be done with whatever platform Audi uses for its midsize EUVs [Albeit, I'd like to see the Cayenne with a more off-road focus, but I know that'll never happen :( ] With regards to the Macan comment, the main issue is pricing. Macan starts in that sub-60k market (let's be real, nobody ever actually pays under 70k for a 4 banger Macan) Realistically, Porsche's E-Macan will probably use Audi underpinnings. If they don't, I wouldn't be surprised to see some variant of the J1 platform used for the Macan, looking like a slightly grown Taycan XT. Sad to see Porsche's hot hatch go electric though. Non-sports cars make up a good portion of Porsche's sales (forgot the actual figure). If most of that could be covered by just one platform, Porsche has a price saving, beautiful, and overall-winning concept.
Easy for the reviewer to say that the GTS is the one to go for. In the UK the price difference on base(4S to GTS) is £20k. The performance (0 to 60) is 0.3 secs. That is why I have ordered a 4S Turismo!
You can also spec those propeller wheels on the GTS at least on the UK configurator, they’re my favourite too but look better with the inner parts painted black which is also an option. You can also spec the roof bars on the GTS, amen! Beautiful car.
True, but at least it can be charged fast, in the areas were are 300kW charging stations. It can be charged with up to 270kW/h which makes it somehow acceptable, I would say.
Let’s admit it - the Cross Turismo is not going off-road. It would be horrible. I’ve taken my Macan ‘lightly’ off-road and got it high-centered and stuck quite easily.
@@Porsche1969 I'm talking about the Taycan Turismo Turbo S... The website says 2.9 but I know that's a conservative number... hopefully I'll have one, one day :-)
Imo it just looks so wrong to have a sports sedan shape as a wagon. It looks like a hunchback. It is the same problem with the Panamera Sport Turismo. It doesn't look premium, stylish and confident with that rear end.
Yo Porsche: Silly you make us have to jump to a GTS in the Tourismo... if you don't want the ugly cladding. They should offer clad, no clad in all trims of the Cross Tourismo. Who is going to take this thing off-road anyway? You have to jump like 30,000 to LOSE THE CLADDING??? And, no more mileage, actually less!! Dumb. PASS.

2:40 that roof is straight up magic damn
Do you know since when this is possible? And if this is a feature of the 2022 Taycan?

Nope. Everything will be a crossover from American manufacturers and most others.

I really hope we see a Taycan Turbo S Sport Turismo. This design paired with the top level Taycan performance would be unbeatable.
The Station Wagon we never had as kids in the 60's

Well they made a Cross Turismo. Maybe we'll see a Cayenne Cross with more ground clearance, traction control and plastic cladding.

what is tesla roadster going to be if lotus ejiva laready exists?
I’m definitely gonna get me a Grand Turismo as SOON as I get some extra change…. Like about $220k 🤪
To have the "turismo" name on a GTS is kind of strange because the "T" of GTS already means turismo
Porsche Taycan Sport Turismo Gran Turismo Sport
Is the actual name of this car.
The Taycan Cross Turismo is like a gravel bike but it probably will never see gravel anyway.
So sexy! I love wagons, and I love this!! Home run for Porsche in my book. I hope to see one in person soon.
Why are you having your nebulizer on?
The only down side is that a wagon should have good range around 500+ miles.

They need to do a 2 door coupe Taycan and a convertible, then maybe a targa.
They will not do that.
Why does the Cross Turismo exist? I'd wait for an electric Cayenne if I wanted to drive on rougher roads.
the difference in trim is due to the gravel package
