- This is probably the most incredible and exciting 'Pianos In Pubs' video I have ever made. Jean Williams, who is the landlady of The Griffin Inn Pub in Gresford, near Wrexham, is the longest serving licensee and is totally 'old school' having never had a jukebox, a pool table, fruit machine or satellite TV in her Public House. Jean Williams does have an upright old piano though, and she kindly invited me into her pub to play it, and Jean even played a couple of duets with me on her piano that she has owned since she was five years old, a gift to Jean from her Father. Thank You, Jean, for the beautiful warm welcome that you gave to me, Eileen and Elsie when we visited your beautiful and unique pub on Wednesday, 5th of April 2023. This video is amazing everyone. I miss my daddy he used to visit me and play the piano like this gor two and a half hours then play with my 3 children and split! He's in heaven now. I've been so depressed 35 yrs now anx this Terry really lifted me to floating niw! Tgankyou brother!!! This is good life everyone needs!!!❤😂🎉

This is a pure delight! Terry is so good at making it a beautiful performance and Jean is a very gracious host and a talented pianist too! I was genuinely moved by this little 'show'. Bless you both, and long may the Griffin continue to entertain and delight!

I love how ten seconds after terry's in the door he's grabbing a pint off of a table and having a pull. Also amazing that you finally landed on a piano that is in tune. After the first couple taps, my ears perked up and said, "what's that? a tuned instrument?". With the land lady at the helm, a dart lane and fine cider, I could easily make that one my local.

This is the best 21:09 minutes entertainment I have had here for ages ... Terry is truly a great pearsonist but the duet's are great fun and Jean is a real star ... soon as you played the first note how good was that piano in tune absolutely perfectly ... really enjoyed the video very much.

❤ Hi there Bill, that made me look back to my childhood , My own Mum , another Jean , who died in 1964 played Swannee River on our LOVELY Ebonised Pianola piano that I believe was a wedding present unfortunately lost to me 😿 when we subsequently 'downsized' some 3 years later never forgotten 😿 ❤

Well played. As good a pair as anyone I've heard here in the States!! I came home from our local high school to find my Grandmother playing some old boogie music on our piano. I had no idea that she had played in a family youth band at her father & mother's pub in Rockingham, Vermont. How sweeeeeet it sounded! It was the one & only time I ever heard her play!
