do you guys ever get "emotional" when you get a unit that has a lot of kids toys and cloths or things that you know were special to a teen? I have to check here in Springfield Mo to see if they have these auctions to buy abandoned units. I just can't say it enough I just love your mom, please don't ever let her quit filming because she is what make your videos so much fun to watch. I love that thing about the stained mattress and how she commented that she just could not wait to sleep on that tonight with people around to hear it, that had to been just hilarious for sure!!! Those pretty blankets are handmade quilts. So much work went into making those. Just beautiful!!!
You should bring a trash barrel with trash bags to separate dump stuff. That way you don't handle it twice and can bag it up. Big unit. Loved the rocking horse and the dog.
I find it very amusing that we have to sit thru Wade looking at every baseball-tennis-football card collection but when it comes to books, he doesn't even want to open the box! We who like books are important too, Wade at least leave the box open long enough for us to read the titles!

We use a lot of Pyrex in England it's very good bakeware.
I was thinking it would be a good idea to # the videos you post, especially when there is part 1, 2 and 3. Example: #22 - 2 of 3
I feel as if a ghost came with this unit. It’s beautiful stuff but there seems a sense of sadness and hard times in every box. It felt spooky watching you guys open this one.
Can you imagine this.. me sitting here by myself with my dogs laughing so hard I'm crying and the dogs looking at me like I'm CRAZY 😂🤣😂 All because Wade wants to roast a turkey on a shelf! 😂🤣🤪

blaaaaaaarrrrr - I was thinking the cut-out center would replace the blades on the top.
@@kristineguetschow9134 There is a metal spike sticking out at the top. That's where the blades get put on. Otherwise the carved out middle is part wouldn't move. The candles warm up the blades thus they are moving the whole middle thing. I have several of those at home. Very common in Germany.

This units contents are bizarre! It looks as if a couple of blokes went into Grandmas house and packed things as they came across them, so random........interesting though. I must admit I laughed at the intro and the 'sturdy' firescreen-, you two are so good together, such a good relationship. The rocking horse is lovely, the toys looked very clean, as if they have had very little if any use. Perhaps they didn't visit very often. (Sad if true). The Canon camera is from the 1970's and is worth around $100 - 200 depending on what it comes with.
I can play the piano some what and it sounded like its still in good tune! Should bring you some money!!
The candle thing with deers is suppose to have a blade thing on top when the candles are lite the heat turns the blade them the deers it is from around the 50s maybe a bit older
This Christmas pyramids are still sold like this in Germany.

I have one of those big Webster dictionaries. It was my dad's. Copyright is 1943. The best part is the reference section at the back. The pay rates for the military, divisions of the government, etc.

Those quilts may be worth a lot of money.... check the date in your Webster dictionary some are worth 100s of dollars.... just the canon camera paid your locker. Good score ! A lot of work but worth it in the end!

Sorry, Grandma Ventures, that teddy bear sewing box is from the mid 80s. That fabric was popular then. It isnt from the 50s. They used more gingham fabric and check in the 50s. I remember when my great aunt bought me the same one. I was 11.

What’s with the constant “look out for the knife” as though Wade normally slices an artery, or is the age of his little tot? The little round top box is made from big dried cactus. The Radio Flyer we usually think of is the Sled, and little red wagon. The rocking horse is sad, never been played with, never ridden.
The candle tree has a top that has paddles that are turned by the heat of the small candles put in the cups, it is typical German.
