For just a few Francs you can also climb the Münster Tower, see the Bells and have a breathtaking 360° View. the lower Platform is at 50m, the upper at 70m (narrow Stairs only, no Lift!)
I would also recommend the cute Dählhölzli zoo in a forest along the river (5 min bus from the center) and the Gurten Hill, Gurten Kulm in German, with views 500 meters above the city and on the Alps (go to Wabern train station with train, 5 min also, or bus - the funicular station to go up the hill is right there).
In mid-July there is also one of the biggest Swiss music festivals on top of the Gurten. So basically, a 5-day nonstop party, 15 minutes outside the city center with great views of the city and Alps
Cool, I've lived in Bern for a few years now and have to say it's one of the best places I've ever lived. I don't know if any place exists where someone can be 100% proud 😅
There is always more you could cover, but it’s impossible to cover everything. This video was aimed at sharing our personal favorite (and free) things to do in Bern.
It's a good video and pleasure watching, currently I'm creating a content about places at Switzerland. Can I get a permission to your footage. I will make sure to attributes the link back to your channel, Thanks in advance.
If you were walking without stopping its easily done in about 2 hours, but if you want to stop to picnic or hang out in the parks then add some time on to that :)
Not sure where you’re getting your info. I live in Bern and it is most definitely the capital 😂 www.swissinfo.ch/eng/politics/federal-city-_why-is-bern-the-capital-of-switzerland/44577476
@@TheNomadNextdoor The 1999 Constitution does not mention a Federal City and the Federal Council has yet to address the matter. Thus no city in Switzerland has the official status either of capital or of Federal City.
That’s the best video I’ve seen. I grew up in Bern.
Thank you that means so much to hear! ✨
This is such a high quality video and now I am in desperate need of a visit to Bern!
Thank you!! It's a magical little place :)

Yes, both places are also amazing ✨ just a short distance outside the city center.

Nice video but there is so much more you could have covered - I felt most of your vid was mostly regarding various parks.

Bern is referred as federal city but isn't one officially
