    What fun! I'm going to add this to my solitaire repertoire. Does the game also have an Italian name?

      Hello. Yes I’ve heard it called: “Rimpiattino.” Which means “hide and go seek,” more or less. I learned it as killer kings so that's how I always think of it. Thanks for watching!

    I've played this game with a Spanish deck my whole life and last week was the first time I ever won. Gotta try with an Italian deck now. Love your videos.

    I've been playing this for hours with the french style decks. It feels right to play it because its a solitare type game. Thanks for teaching how to play this awesome game.

    Hanafuda solitaire is played the same exact way! Whenever you reveal a November/Willow card the stack you draw from shrinks by one.

    This is the first game I was taught to play with our Napoletane deck as a 2nd generation Italian-American kid. It is easy to focus on familiarizing yourself with all the cards if you also grew up with French decks, since there is no skill involved. We didn't have the point system, but you could flip over all the remaining cards after the 4th king to see if the board happened to have any other cards already in the right locations.
    Thanks for sharing! Love this channel and love your style! Thank you!

      Well said, this game, Vecchia and Cucu are very good introductions to the Italian decks. It's funny that you mentioned that you would flip over the remaining cards after the 4th King is revealed, I used to do that as a kid, but I forgot all about it until just now. Thanks for the nice comment and watching!

    Chris, I totally love your channel and learning all the fun games to play with my Italian playing cards, which are growing by the weeks, hahaha. I have four decks, which are the Siciliane, Napoletane, Toscane, and Sarde, with a fifth deck, Genovesi, on its way.
    Scopa has definitely become my favorite, and it gets played at work with a co-worker at the end of the day once as our work is completed, of course, hahaha. I'm looking forward to playing Briscola next. Last night, I was watching a few of your videos and decided to pull out my Sarde deck and play Killer Kings. First time playing, and I won with 21 points by uncovering all the cards. The third Re was the last card I drew, with the fourth Re the last card in my hand. Thank you for all the awesome games and tutorials you post. Much appreciated!

      I love hearing this, and thanks for the kind words! Keep those games alive and you’re playing with some excellent packs. I can’t believe your luck with killer kings, play the lotto, fortune is smiling on you!

    This seems a lot like clock solitaire but just with a different layout! The chances of winning clock solitaire are 1/13 so I assume the chances for this are 1/9

    • @Play-In-Games
      @Play-In-Games  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good observation! Clock Solitaire is really fun too. If you're like me, they can be frustratingly tough to complete. That's why I came up with the point system. Thanks for watching!

      @@Play-In-Games yeah I got frustrated too, that's why I started to give myself points for every completed number of the clock!

      The odds are much lower for a win. Without being over to flip the last card as a king, the odds would be 3:100,000, but being able to flip the last card and it being the king would make those odds a little better.

    Are there other games you recommend using the mignon size cards for? I found them online and am on the fence about buying them. Thanks so much!

    • @Play-In-Games
      @Play-In-Games  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Excellent! You can use the Mignon for all Italian games. They’re great for solitaire and when you’re traveling. They are small but still very playable. Hope that helps.

    Hi there! Love the video. I did have a question. Maybe you answered and I didn’t see it. What happens if one of your four lives is a king?

    • @Play-In-Games
      @Play-In-Games  ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question. It counts as a king and if if was your last one, you lose. It’s happened to me that two of my lives were kings, sometimes the game is just against you!

  • @QuiverofArrows
    @QuiverofArrows 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    What happens if you get king's in your lives? Do you die automatically?

    • @Play-In-Games
      @Play-In-Games  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You lose one of your lives each time that happens. The game doesn't end unless that was your last life card.

    • @QuiverofArrows
      @QuiverofArrows 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @Play-In-Games Thank you for the fast response. I kinda figured that's what was supposed to happen but I didn't want to tell my kids that until I knew for sure. Thank you for your easy to understand breakdown of card games.
