Yes nostalgic. I was 7 then now 46. And from 1985 when we won the championship Benson and Hedges I started following cricket religiously. Those days of transistor. Then black and white television. Remember I was so excited when we got color television in 1985. Watched all matches in color. We use to wait for the tri series in Australia for the color clothing matches. All that fun is gone now in this age of technology.

No matter whatever spoken, It's true but not entirely but truthful enough if the ones who experience it - Narrate it.
No matter how jovial Srikanth sir is, The entire innocence lies in the way he speaks. And the film '83' was more or less real, Atleast masala element was way minimal than the usual biopics like Sanju, Dhoni, or, Milkha Singh.
So, Despite the nepotism - Story content and what the audience must take after the 2 hours of story journey is what makes Film an Art.

It's important to feel pride about our countrymen and their achievements, but does it necessarily mean that we should call them the best in something?? Also important is knowing enough to understand other people's struggles. Simply saying we are the best is not true patriotism. Doing something to improve our situation is more important.

I have seen the whole match in TV most unforgettable match. All are great mentors.
As far I know Srikanth was chain smoker -happy go lucky and had strange body ticks - I admired him we played against POUT university in 1979/ 80 and he was the captain and we played against them -Karnataka university . Every time I would bowled at him he was so unorthodox in his game I felt I could take his wicket!! 🙏
I think 1983 team must have experienced the great joy moments in their lives. That one cup turned their lives 360 degree infact for the whole nation it was like an big occasion
