I had gotten that DeLorean BTTF Happy Meal toy as well. I still have it. It sits on top of my BTTF: The Complete Series boxed set that I had actually bought (no kidding) on October 21, 2015.
Bucky O'Hare was one of many cartoons that were trying to ride on the success of the Ninja Turtles. Like the Turtles, it was originally an independent comic book, and got a cartoon with a lot of licenses and toys. It was not successful, and only ran for one season, but 80sCommercialVault is right when he says that the video games by Konami were awesome. The arcade game actually acted as a finale that the show never got, while the NES game is very rare and expensive on the collector's market. It's worth it, though. I own it, and it's a great game, though incredibly hard. I only beat it thanks to the fact it gives you unlimited continues. It's one of those games you have to memorize, and expect to die a thousand times until you do.
You know, the appeal of emulation is obvious. It's a lot cheaper than physical carts obviously, and you can easily fill your device with every game under the sun. But, that also takes away from hunting down and eventually discovering hard to find games. Plus, I feel the packaging and art is part of the experience. Collecting is not what it used to be, thanks to people artificially inflating the prices of a lot of games. But, it brIngs so much joy to me to look at my collection of NES and SNES games, open the box, and pull a cart out to play. It's something no emulator can give me. I value all my games, from the common, to my ridiculously rare and expensive CIB copy of The Flintstones: The Surprise at Dinosaur Peak.
The NES game is maybe my favorite game of all time. Got a lot of fond memories associated with it. Also, "Boss Fight Studio" started a new line of Bucky figures semi-recently, including characters that didn't make the original toy line (Jenny!). They're really nice looking.
@@FloridaEbikes I collect for both NES and SNES. Also, some modern day retro consoles like the AVS have screen display options that allow more sprites to appear on the screen at once in an NES game, so there's not any flickering. It's a nice option for those that it bothers.
I KNEW IT! I knew they made soda flavored fruit snacks in the early 1990's! I couldn't for the life of me remember what they were called! For awhile, I thought I was the only one who remembered them. I wish they still made them. Though I have to wonder if I'd still like them.
The Little Mermaid Play Dough Set- Those sculptures of the Little Mermaid characters look too nice to have been made by those kids. Promo For "Full House"- I like the shot of Toddler Michelle Tanner at the end. It's cute, but at the same time, completely random. Soda- Licious Fruit Snacks- Your assumption about these was completely correct. These had an awful artificial soda flavor as I remember. They had no business being called Fruit Snacks.
10:34 That's "Rad Mobile" from Sega. If you notice the Sonic chain swaying from the roof of the car, that's actually Sonic's first ever appearance in a video game. For real. Rad Mobile was released a few months before Sonic 1, technically making it his gaming debut.
Pretty sure the Honey Nut Cheerios ad with Atlanta Hawks legend Dominique Wilkins was in the can for a while considering Wilkins tore his Achilles tendon at midseason
No single time will ever be “perfect” . IMO, from a purely western perspective, 1992 is about the apex of human culture and society before a bunch of norms that we totally took for granted completely collapsed.
The Bucky O'Hare video games aged better than the actual series which only lasted for 1 season I believe. But it's nice to see Rad Mobile in the Chuck E Cheese ad at 10:35!
Hey, @80sCommercialVault, do you happen to know the name of the Channel 46 announcer in this volume? He did the station breaks and syndicated commercials for my local Channel 11, and I've heard him perform similar vocal work on plenty of your collections.
Full House-looks like they borrowed from that Happy Days episode where Richie tried to emulate the Fonz Frosted Flakes-Scott Wolf almost turned into the Six Million Dollar Man at the end of that ad The Incredible Crash Dummies-love that early 90s CGI A Different World-Mr.Bentley was a mortician..good thing George and Louise never found out Bucky O'Hare And The Toad Wars!-New Line was going to adapt this as a live-action film(supposedly with Henson's Creature Shop providing animatronics just like with the TMNT movies) but plans fell through :(
Hard to explain how nostalgic this makes me feel.
Used to love Sodalicious! Also the Thunder Jets and Shark Bites fruit snacks were awesome too.
I remember turning in my Book It! certificate for the personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut as a kid, nothing like free pizza to get kids to read.
now im fat and I read, go figure
The only type of commercials I watch at my own will.
SODALICIOUS WERE THE BEST FRUIT SNACKS EVER. Who else remembers the limited edition: ROOT BEER flavor???
Sodalicious were one of my all time favorite fruit snacks. Nothing better than a sugar coated fruit snack that tasted like soda. Man I miss the 90's.
I truly dislike fruit snacks but … sodaicious were amazing ! The root beer ones were so damn good!
I was just thinking about these today.
Yessss root beer! I still lord it over people to this day, who's regions didn't get the root beer!
Hell yeah I remember them! God I had those all the time as a kid. They were great!
I still have my Doc Brown happy meal toy. Surprisingly it still sparks!
Damn I remember I had that one too
11:19 - This kid suffers from a lack of imagination if he has a frickin' invisible cloak, and all he can think of is to steal his dad's waffles...
I always thought Pizza Hut was giving a key that could open any door with the purchase of a large cheese pizza lol

@@FloridaEbikes How did you guess?
@@FloridaEbikes Great Scott! Now that is heavy!
I wish they would bring stuff back I miss it 😢
I actually still have those crash test dummies toys, somewhere…

Did Bucky O Hare rip off Jazz Jackrabbit or was it the other way around?
Captain Bucky O'hare kicked ASS!!!
No one interrupts Dominique Wilkins while he has his bowl - not even a bee!

The "sea flower" molds are just repurposed flower molds from the Flower Makin Basket
That Back To The Future happy meal looked awesome. But in the 90s I was a teenager.
I wasn't even in school yet when they had the back to the Future Happy meals

Interesting
Damn I had that blue train with the spiral wheels B2F toy. Crazy that I remember this stuff. Thanks for the memories man
Yeah book it! Free pizza ftw!
Yeah I Remember I would Pretend to Read Just to get Me a Personal Pan Pizza 😆... Those Times were awesome.
Pretty sure the Honey Nut Cheerios ad with Atlanta Hawks legend Dominique Wilkins was in the can for a while considering Wilkins tore his Achilles tendon at midseason
A better time.
It will be remembered as "the last good decade in America." That's how I think of it already.
A better time indeed. Makes me miss so much everyday.
Eh, maybe... it definitely wasn't perfect socio-politically speaking. But it was definitely relatively better in some ways.
No single time will ever be “perfect” . IMO, from a purely western perspective, 1992 is about the apex of human culture and society before a bunch of norms that we totally took for granted completely collapsed.
This video is awesome.
seems like a lot of ads for almost 17 minutes - I wonder what the record is? Very nice job as always bringing me back to my childhood
All of my videos consist of several ad breaks that are edited together...

Nope. EDIT: if you mean WPIX Channel 11, the announcer there was Doug Paul. He died in 2017.
