Marta, you did a wonderful job, no need to apologize for being under the weather. I enjoy hearing you and seeing you work. The cute little butterfly was a nice addition, and the same color as flower in lower right corner. I like your statement about bows and butterflies always being a nice addition. I have not done much with bows except on wreaths, but I am going to give it a try on a mixed media project. The kits do look wonderful, just haven't felt I would all the contents, and I hate to waste. Maybe I can find a buddy and share a kit.

Your cards are so very beautiful! I'm so sorry you weren't feeling well, but your art is always lovely and I'm loving your Cafe facebook group! Here in the U.S., 6" square cards appear to not be the norm and we are charged extra to mail them so tend to use 4x6 or 5x7". I love the square cards though and see that there are lots of square size scrapbook papers that are this size.

Gorgeous cards
Hello Marta, those cards are beautiful. And I take you talking (sniffles and all) over music anytime. I have only just started my own mixed media adventure and I found a great way to get a big load of paper. I bought old wallpaper books from wallpaper stores and just added about 400 sheets of paper (53 by 53 cm) to my stash. I can't wait to get started now :) Thanks to you I came to know about mixed media and I love it. Thank you for your tutorials.

Yeah I was quite lucky, got 3 books and have now about 400 sheets of beautiful paper to work with.

I buy ready-made bases in 5x7 inch size. I also prefer the square shape of 6x6, but they're more expensive to mail.
I would think that the 5 x 7 cards would cost extra too. I need to look for 6 x 6 envelopes, since I make my own card bases.
No, in the US, where I live, as long as the envelope doesn't weigh more than 1 oz, it costs .47 to mail a 5x7 envelope. Any square envelope (5x5, 6x6, etc.) not weighing more than 1 oz costs .89.

I make a2size cards and love when I get a good deal! Sometimes I make my own card bases. But then I don't have the envelopes!

I make my own card base from 8.5" by 11" cut in half either take 11" cut at 5.5" and score at 41/4 on long side . Or 8.5 cut at 41/4 then scre short side 5.5 smiles ...

Maremi SmallArt yes I did join the group. I have been enjoying everyone's art. I also have been spending lots of time in my craft room "cleaning" it up. I could not see the table area or the floor. Now I can see part of it so I know I am making progress. And can begin creating again. Thank you for so much inspiration.

I know you work based on your kit and supplies which are all very vintage and feminine, do you think sometimes you could do some more manly or neutral gender type projects?

Why would she do?
I do make gifts like art journal to my friends, most of them are couples, if my projects are too feminine, the gift is just for the wives, husbands feel left out, I want both of them like the gifts. As for Tim Hortoz's, sometimes I find them too vintages, too dark. It's just my opinion.

Maremi, it is so wonderful to meet you. I have been watching your videos for a week or so and I have decided to give mixed media a try. Did you happen to buy your chippies online? I am not finding a place to purchase them online. My sources are limited where I live. I do not get out much. If you can refer me to a place online to get them it would sure help me. I am going to get the basic starting supplies in January. For now I am getting scrapbooking supplies during December. It says on here that you have 227 videos. I do not know how to access them though.The things you make are so beautiful. You must have a nearly endless budget for materials. I love all the flowers, chippies, and embellishments that you have.I hope you get well soon.
