A wonderful video, beautiful, professional, educational and the barely heard soft music in the background is delightful with Ana talking. First class.💕
2 years ago a friend gave to me a pitaya fruit, instead of eating it I made a experiment of collect the seeds and put them in a tray, now I have more than 40 pitaya plants, I believe that are Stenocereos queretaroensis, never expected that germination rate, you have beautiful babies, greetings from México 🙂
I want some S. Queretaroensis seeds so bad! Oddly despite having seasonal festival like availability in Mexico they are very, very rare here in the USA.
AWWWWW your Echinocereus rigidissimus seedlings are absolutely GORGEOUS Ana :-D they all look amazing transplanted and repotted, and such a WONDERFUL video :-D I guessed there was 42 babies haha, this is one of my most favourite cactus too as I love the colourful spines and beautiful blooms, I have a lot of seedlings I need to separate and repot this Spring too, thanks so much for sharing the wonderful re potting with us, and Hans and I are sending you lots of love and happiness and CAFFEINE and PLANT POWER to Las Vegas for a fantastic Tuesday XXXX
At the moment, I'm guessing about 40. Very nice seedlings!!! I used to see these grow in the wild in the Santa Rita mountains south of Tucson. Kind of a dry grassland cactus. Wonderful roots also!! Thanks for sharing Ana!!! Beautiful little guys!!! From Morris Park in the Ozarks, out to Las Vegas, have a great evening!!! Peace, Love, Plants!!!✌💖🌵🏵🌴🌺🪴🌹🌲🌷🌳😃👍
Awesome video, Ana. Your seedlings are looking great 😊 I’ve enjoyed growing this one from the seeds you sent me, they’re doing really well. I guessed 38, I wasn’t right haha. Thank you for sharing with us as always. Have a wonderful day from Edith & myself 🌵☀️🌺🌼🌸🏜☕️
I’m glad the seeds germinated well for you as well. I remember seeing them grow in one of your videos. I realize cactus seedlings grow faster under grow lights. I just wish I have more indoor space for them. Thanks Daz!
Hiya. I planted the same cactus (Mesa Garden for seeds) and they are doing great. They are 4 months old, about the size of smallish grapes. The tray is about an inch deep, not crowded, kept under grow lights. When should I go with the dry and then water? I am misting when top dry, watering every few days. I am in Central California so hot and dry in Summer. Thank you. I used your advice to plant these guys
Thanks Anna love the video but I dont have patience with seedlings also love the mature plant but dont care how I try I cant keep it alive. I will continue to try though
Hello Ms Anna. I wonder why my 2rainbow cactii are not blooming. They have been with me for a year, 3-4inch tall, own roots. Even after I have repotted them and with osmocote. Caretip pls.
They so cute. How long did they take to germinate & did you cover the pot as they grew? You may also want to look into Echinocereus pectinatua v Wengeri as they can have very cute light pink spines.
@@CactusCaffeine got it, thanks 🙏🏻 ! another nice video, really wonderful looking cactus and seedlings! Now really looking forward to Spring and Summer🌵🌸 !
Whoa.. 49? That's a lot. So what do you do with all the cacti you propagated from seeds? Do you sell them? These rainbow hedgehogs are hard to find in the stores.
update 2: I love your videos! i have a few cactus and among them i believe i have one or two rainbow cactus. I not 100% sure cause they are small but they don't look 100% like your small ones... also: what makes them have some grey rings? can it be due to winter time or lack of water or they just appear randomly?

0:09 put out a cup of apple coder vinegar and dish soap. The vinegar will attract them and the soap will kill them
Lots of beautiful cactus babies. Nice work, nice video. Best wishes for many beautiful and colorful adult Rigidissimus. 🌵🌵🌵🌵🌵
Ele bebê recém nascido é muito diferente da planta adulta 💚💚
I thought they were going to be about 24 🙊🙊. Too much beautiful little babies 😍
I think you have 30 seedlings and they look absolutely great, your videos are so informative and interesting in their content, great video as always.

You’re guess is close. At least you guessed over 40 😉 Thank you Lyn and happy early spring! 🌺🌵🌼
This is also one of my favorites but I only have two😅, maybe I'll try with seeds. You must have four dozens there! Good germination rate👌😃👏👏👏💯💞
I cannot wait to see another update on these babies!
Wow your seedlings grow so fast! My grafts aren’t even that big!!
You are going to love the notocactus roseoluteus flowers, the size and the colour are very similar…..
Oh, I have one but it has not flowered for me. Now I am looking forward to it even more. 🙂
5:08 use low pressure water from a garden hose gun.
Anna, do you sell them? I cannot find them where I live. I’ll guess 40😂

Fun video for sure!🥰🥰🥰
Omg how cute do how long does it take for them to be fully grown ?
Would you believe I don’t have that one 😂
Thanks Anna love the video but I dont have patience with seedlings also love the mature plant but dont care how I try I cant keep it alive. I will continue to try though
I wonder if soaking first would help with separating them
What is the ideal potting mix for cactus seedlings ?
❤❤❤
I like that I have managed to keep mine outside here. Fairly cold hardy!
That’s good to know! I have a couple in the ground.

I do the bag method. The method I showed in my How to Grow Cactus seeds video. 🙂
I’d like to cross that with a flying saucer or something for fun
What you are gonna do with this much plants?
30pcs?
I guess there are around 50 seedlings
what was the germination rate in the end?
Is it okay to expose repotted cactus to noon sunlight?
Not right away. I would give the cactus time to get settled and we’ll rooted in its new pot first. Morning sun is best.
I need seeds 😫. I am in AZ.
They’re considered rare right ?
Depends on where you are from. In my place, not so much as they are endemic in nearby Arizona.
Do these produce fruits?
Yes if the flowers get pollinated. But it is small and full of seeds
@@CactusCaffeine how long does it takes to get cactus to flower if growing from seeds?
45?
38?
Did you pollinate the flowers within the same cactus plant for this to develop seed pods? Or does it have to be pollinated between 2 cacti?
I cross pollinated between 2 different cactus (same kind)
