A challenge idea I've been mulling over these past few days is: what is the fewest number of (purchased) cars you need to beat Gran Turismo 4? No prize cars allowed.
Pretty sure the Rubber-band isn't just limited to ai. Haven't tested this since GT 3 was still new but i remember very well using the Dodge Viper GTS-R Team Oreca at ss 5 and allowing myself to get lapped. After that the sense of speed and handling went to another level and the speedometer was clearly inaccurate. I didn't know about the term catch-up or rubber-band until NFS HP2 , but i could tell something was off when i played GT 2. GT 1 had hints of this but GT 2 didn't hide it at all. In GT 3 it seemed to be enabled at random races/events. As for HP 2, cars flying through the air to catch you made it clear what catch-up meant.
This was a pretty neat challenge to watch through, the car choices was interesting to me. Aside from that I'm just surprised at the rubberband in this game, it's just as bad as NFS Undercover AI on the PS2 lol. Great video as always Dove, perhaps in the future you could do more challenges like this again.

Class C Max is pretty doable thanks to the Skyline, while trying to use something like the 350Z can make the endgame races pure rng. Also no bikes outside of mandatory missions. Sports bikes are ridiculously good in MC3, and in MCLA they're downright broken. They're way beyond a built in easy mode.

You didn't use any french car, but whenever I can, I try to get the Sport Clio 00, which is a AMAZING car for championships and has so much grip and speed.
Here's a challenge run idea for Burnout Revenge. Beat the game with only the starter cars or just the ST class. The main issue you'll have against the AI will be the Eliminator events since you can't reach their top speeds and you can't stay behind for long. Also, because of the progression system universally leveling up the AI, even on regular 100% runs, you'll be going against higher tier cars if you complete the events in order.
