...or was she like in a hotel? I hear background people talking. But I'm mesmerized by her beauty, soft voice, and sense of simple humility despite her fame. ...wish I could meet her, have a coffee together :)
I grew up with an abusive father and two girls used to sing this to tease me about it. I couldn’t listen to it then. Time, an amazing wife, and my faith have brought healing, and now I never turn it off, to make a reminder of how not to act as a father.
She is playing a Maton, they are custom made acoustics from Australia.. Very possibly the best acoustics on the planet. Tommy Emmanuel plays a Maton, So does Eric Johnson.. Matons are famous for their beautiful tone, and resonance.. world class preamp and eq.. and their custom pickup for acoustics.. their prices are actually pretty good for a custom made Acoustic Guitar'.. When a Martin D45 can retail for as much as 10.000 To 20000.. I think the average D45 is about 7000 to 8000 plus tax.. and These won't come with electronics.. You can purchase a Maton and depending on what kind of extra or modifications you specify. 3500 to 8000.. That is a good deal for instruments of this quality.. Suzanne Vega, oviously cares about her tone a great deal and her resonance I have always loved this song.. but I have never seen this acoustic version.. The first thing I noticed was her guitar.. Now I've always thought this was a dark piece of music a dark , but beautiful musical diamond this song is subtle, and yet so powerful on different levels. This is a tune I just can't turn away from...It moves me emotionally, mentally, and visually, and musically.. Suzanne Vega what a musician she is.. I could talk for hours about her, and this one piece of music....
A magical and beautiful pop song about a topic that is not so beautiful, but its oh so real, so real it hurt and feel a bit good at the same time. Its alchemy by a great artist.

songs like Suzannes Luka should be about storytelling & informing people now & into the future about how people are & how the world is, works. Paper with numbers on it & a cuddle with someone pretty shouldn't be the measure of the song.
Don’t Google cheat - anyone know who the little boy in her video grew up to be? Let’s just say he likes the red lead on Sundays. Calls it gravy instead of sauce.
That was RUBBISH. NOT the song or her performance. If I wanted to hear the song I could anytime on TH-cam. I wanted to hear about the writing of the song. Is the story real. What a waste of time.
I hope more people find their way here during quarantine. I love this song and have been dancing in my apartment to it while on lockdown.
A classic. Pure and simple.
Agree!
A sad song, sung beautifully. Beautiful. Beautiful. Beautiful!! Gorgeous. Xx
She hasn't lost that angelic voice
Weldone Suzanne!!!!!

THis version is beautiful!!!
Fantastic! Beautiful voice as great as ever
The Queen & The Soldier is my fave song. Ballads with a cryptic meaning. 😍
Love this acoustic version, and home-setting. She's still Beautiful as well. :)

She has so many great songs, but this one always resonated for me. I never get tired of hearing it, and this is a beautiful rendition.
Maravilhosa, cresci ouvindo essa música. A voz dela não muda👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
What a well written sentimental song...fantastic!

The most covered song in the world
As poignant now as it ever was. Pure emotion...

Luka a song about Child abuse, we need to protect our children from danger.
The year before i left school in 88.
To all the Lukas out there......
Why did she stop to turn the page? After all these years, she can’t remember the chords??
Is she reading her own composition?
Don’t Google cheat - anyone know who the little boy in her video grew up to be? Let’s just say he likes the red lead on Sundays. Calls it gravy instead of sauce.
She has to read the lyrics? How many million times has she played this song already?
What does it matter...?
No live performance goes in full-auto mode.
Keeping in mind this tune is about 30 years old. Still got the voice tho.

Top2000 gogo rules! Blijf doorgaan
Hopefully he isn't the boy that grew up to be Luka Magnotta.
I liked her but I hate that song
Probably because your ex's name was Luka
Very nice!
