I’ve watched hundreds a fishing series/shows since i was a little Kid, I can honestly say the material on this channel is so much more educating and is the perfect idea of what fishing should be. I just wanted to say that I watch Richard on my TV through my ROKU. Therefore, I don't get to comment as much as I would otherwise. I'm 67 years old and have been watching fishing shows literally since they first came on television. This channel is better (to me) than any of them. For starters, it's REAL. He tells you exactly where he is and it's always public water. He's not stuck back in some private "honey hole" where the fish jump into the boat before you can even get it launched. Also, he gives EXACT information, which I love and he does it with no advertising motive in mind. You see what he does, how he does it, where he does it, and with what kind of equipment. The idea that The Outdoor Channel hasn't jumped all over this is mind boggling. At the end of every episode, Richard sincerely tells those of us who watch them how much he appreciates it. Well, I want to take the time to say how much I truly appreciate him.

I've been watching your vids for a week now. I got to tell you, from the bank, today, 7hrs. I caught my very first crappie (ever), 2 drum, 2 hybrid bass, 1 channel and 2 blue catfish and every catch I caught my self doing the" wooooooh" and the "let's lettem go". Thank you Mr. Richard Gene! Weather has been terrible this spring! Just spent a week in Mississippi, storms,lightning, water 10 feet high. Straight line winds, cold on and on. Glad I can always count on “the Machine.”

April 17 looking out my back door and snow on the ground. The river's (Mississippi R. at the top of P4) about 5 feet high and running fast. Makes me want to move to you neck of the woods and follow you around like an old hound dog. Another great post, stay safe and tight lines.
Another great video Richard! I've walked through the woods to fish for over 30 years and do it lately since I got a boat when the wind is really strong. I always point my fishing rods with rod tips facing behind me so I don't hang the rods or guides on a tree and damage or break them.
Glad you got out of there. Been in that situation too many times. We had a tornado come thru my home town of Seneca SC it totally devastated the south side. With one fatality. Keep us in your prayers. Great videos.

Richard, thank you so much for this video. Yesterday I caught 2 healthy small mouth bass from the kayak, then went back out last night. Well it didn’t go as well. I blanked for 90 minutes then found a great spot or so I thought. I got snagged about 10’ in front of me at the edge of a little stone pad. The only way to get my line free was to venture out, down this slanted slope. My last step was on a slippery piece of concrete. Down I went chest first and got soaked head to toe. Tail tucked I went back to camp and retold the story to my wife and son. They laughed hard. I couldn’t help but think that my fall “was good fer me”. Just when I hit cloud nine - bam down I went. God humbled us. Today I hooked 7 or 8 bass but only landed 3 nice ones. I needed two pairs of “plaars” and a fellow fisherman to snag out a swallowed hook. I went in through the gill on the side just like you showed, pulled the hook up then was able to get er from the mouth with the other plaars. You helped me save that basses life today! Thank you so much RGFM!!

The only way to get my line free was to venture out, down this slanted slope. My last step was on a slippery piece of concrete. Down I went chest first and got soaked head to toe. Tail tucked I went back to camp and retold the story to my wife and son. They laughed hard.
I couldn’t help but think that my fall “was good fer me”. Just when I hit cloud nine - bam down I went. God humbled us. Today I hooked 7 or 8 bass but only landed 3 nice ones. I needed two pairs of “plaars” and a fellow fisherman to snag out a swallowed hook. I went in through the gill on the side just like you showed, pulled the hook up then was able to get er from the mouth with the other plaars. You helped me save that basses life today!
