with so many Sith Lords being covered by robes and capes, i find it refreshing to have SO much interesting stuff happening on the back. such a cool design! those early 2000's Star Wars artists were cooking with their character designs.

I've been waiting for a Vader with that nylon, I've loved it ever since I saw it on the Batman Beyond figure and I asked myself "Why doesn't Hot Toys do the same with Vader or any figure that needs to simulate leather" and finally it seems like the day is near when I'll be able to get a Vader without fear of the suit deteriorating.
Yeah 100% that was the first time we saw it on a hot toys figure. I didn't know if it would work as a ripped leather replacement but this confirms it does easily!
In one of your other videos I was bitching about the eye moving tool that they give you. Saying it was crap. Then, in a recent video I saw you moving the eyes with your finger, and I thought, I'm going to try that. It works so much better, I cannot believe I didn't think of it. Nice.
Sabers in order: (6:55 for quick access) Rahm Kota - Star Killer's Jedi Master Maul (as you said) Vader's hilt (Because in this version, Star Killer did kill Vader) Star Killer's original blade, it was pretty unfinished The black is half of Kazdan Paratus's lightsaber pike (Jedi you kill on Raxus Prime Then of course Lord Starkiller's hilt.

This will be my first Hot Toys figure delivering, but I am a bit nervous about the pleather. I will be displaying him in a case but I wanted to know if there are things I should do to prevent the pleather from flaking in the long run.
Im still waiting for mine to come in and the figure looks amazing. I just hope we can get a version of starkiller that's based on his first appearance in the first force unleashed game or his arena armor from the second game
A tiny and pedantic correction, but official lightsabers made by Hasbro (I assume you are referring to the expensive Force FX sabers) don't actually use 'neopixel'. They do use LED strips, but they are significantly dimmer and cannot pull off the same smooth animations as actual neopixels made by 3rd party companies. Regardless, for the purposes of the video, the idea that an LED strip can be installed inside 1/6 scale blades in a similar manner to non-baselit 1/1 scale sabers makes sense!
Once again a great review Justin! I feel like hot toys might have been rushing this release. As you mentioned it's almost as if they forgot to include the extra lightsaber as well as a couple of other small little details. The one thing that I'm having the biggest struggle with is the fact that I watched another review video on this figure and they say that they had confirmation from hot toys directly that it is not in fact nylon and it is pleather..... It just seems to be so not published for clarity unfortunately. And if this is in fact nylon, I don't feel as happy about it as I thought that I would it still looks very pleather like.

Is it possible that the pleather never flakes or breaks or is it guaranteed? If that’s the case I don’t really see the point of buying it, unless there’s a workaround.
I agree with you about the swooshing saber. A bend in the connector to make the deeper edge color in line with the hilt would be better. I have decided to order this figure and then just have a dedicated dark side shelf.

Ok I understand and agree with your lightsaber swooshing effect argument, I just don't think many people use them, they look tacky even when they're done correctly like you say. I think the real thing they have to fix are the LED lightsabers that you cannot even perceive if you have the figures under lighting.

I feel as though the (Legends) thing is probably a discussion from higher up and not hot toys because even the Black Series figure has “Legends” on front of the box, they just want to differentiate between what products represent current canon and legends, I don’t have issue with it but I understand why some would find it distracting on the name plate when it’s displayed in the collection

That doesn't make sense 😂. General Grievous was not only introduced as a character before this (2005 Vs 2008.) but canonically Starkiller was 2 decades after Grievous

Dang KOTOR was before your time???? Dang brother, how old are you??? Im about to turn 30 next year, and i remember playing KOTOR but couldn't beat it at the time. TFU 1& 2 had some groundbreaking physics in the game at the time. Seeing glass shatter in the game was mind blowing back then lol.
The Stalker armor was always my favorite, then they made this, a still crude but somewhat more elegant version, love it. Seeing his unarmored concept skin....wooof, he ugly. My sister played KOTAR and I used to watch her, not wanting to play it myself, meanwhile I had Republic Commando and later The Force Unleashed PS2 then Xbox 360 versions. Played the hell out of them.

I remember asking the official distributor here, and they said they asked for a confirmation with Hot Toys, that this will not have any PU leather. So it is annoying that they still can't get away from PU. Another thing that is annoying is that this probably means that the belt and shoes of the dark empire Luke will also be made out of PU leather. Btw, for some reason, I really dislike the finger claws on Starkiller's design. His design is nice but the claws, i don't know....unnecessary(?) for a force user with a lightsaber. And I rally behind you on this swooshing effect. The fan shape just looks (pardon my french) stupid for an action pose.

Another thing that is annoying is that this probably means that the belt and shoes of the dark empire Luke will also be made out of PU leather.
Btw, for some reason, I really dislike the finger claws on Starkiller's design. His design is nice but the claws, i don't know....unnecessary(?) for a force user with a lightsaber.

@ thank you all I know is that I got it from sideshow and it looked like the coin was gold hopefully some change was made and I get the red one it fits better color wise
