Wish i could tell yall how many good memories i have with this tune but ill tell ya one. I saw frontier ruckus at some festival many years ago, cant remember which one, it was on the ohio/west virginia border. They were playing and i yelled out to play this song a few times. They didnt play it. I saw the lead singer after by the side of the stage after and asked him why they didnt play my song. He brought me behind the stage and the whole band circledbaround me and performed this song for just me. It was magical. I got nothin but love for frontier ruckus.
I love this band. Got to see them in some small Midwest town. It was one of the coolest shows I've ever been to. Got to hear what a hacksaw sounds like when played with a bow... it's a cool sound. Anyway, this song reminds me of the times I had with someone that I once loved.
In 1994 my family stopped at the Michigan Welcome Center on the border of Illinois and Michigan. I remember climbing the stairs that were crowned by the A frame structure, and collecting travel brochures in a collage kiosk at its 2nd floor foyer, the hot, electric musk of the local printers copier still fresh plasticy on the creases. I remember being rushed back to the 1992 Ford Escort by mom and dad so that we made "good time". I think my mom convinced my dad to pull off to Sleeping Bear Dunes State Park and that was where I fell down the sandy precipice like child shaped avalanche. I remember looking up at the tourist court above, like they were captains on a khaki cloud. That was the day I taught my legs to slam dunk.
I remember seeing you guys open for William Elliott Whitmore back when you released this album. Such a great show. Love your tunes and still listen to this album all the time.
These guys were so good at the Folk Fest in Ann Arbor last night. I regret not getting there earlier to see their full set; if only I had known of them previously to know when to show up.
This song will forever remind me of EL, MI. Awesome. Anybody watching this should also check Mr. Chris Bathgate, too. He was a regular face here as well.
You guys look like your having a blast . Man I wish I was your age keep it up guys . I'm listening like the sound . You guys have Country soul . That's actually a name of a song of mine. Doesn't mean you can't write one with the same title . "I've got a million of em " Ha cha cha cha !
Matthew Milia the lead singer writes the songs and the incredibly talented Davey on Banjo, Nich on singing saw, any and all horns, a multitude of keyed instruments, and Anna with the Angelic backing vocals and sometime bass player all providing backing and layers of nostalgic bliss!! They’ve been a favorite of mine since Dead Malls and Night Falls came out and I’m just as amazed as ever of the pure genius that is Matthew Milia and Frontier Ruckus! Can’t wait for the new album to drop!
Some people don't like the idea of a dude playin a banjo in the wilderness... But something about his flowing hair let's you know it's gonna be okay... And suddenly it is. ...More than okay. ...More than okay...

I would guess that, or they have hidden the microphones very well.
If not, I want to know what kind of microphones they're using.
Awesome moment*
Does anyone know where to find a banjo tab on this song or how to play it?
nice
Those natural harmonies. Mmm.
Who writes this music? Whoever it is is a fucking genius. I've been listening to all your songs all morning. They're so beautiful they make me cry.
Please never stop. No matter what. Even if there's not a single person to listen.
They're a lot more popular now than when I found them, almost 10 years ago.

Are you guys still a troupe and are you open to weddings? It's been a dream of mine for years, if you have the time and, I, the budget?

Wouldn't it be something to hear a country radio station play this?

Upper Peninsula not upstate bro
that crazy moment when your sub is going to be on stage at lolla
Very very.
It's probably just a good quality shotgun mic on the camera.
studio recording of wind on a microphone?
I don't think its live.
Most definitely is.
It looks like a wood Melodica. But I'm not sure.
Hurry up someone throw money at them!
Or his sister is your math teacher ;D
Clearly dubbed with studio recording
Nice language! Don’t you know words that start with other than F
