Their harmony is perfect. A beautiful song. I'm a 60 year old musician. Grew up with the Everly Brothers,Beatles, and all the bands of the 50's,60's and 70's. This song proves REAL music isn't dead.
I was super depressed around 2010-2011 and a close friend suggested this song. We don't talk anymore because life got busy and we drifted apart but I always thank them in my mind whenever I listen to this masterpiece!
Oh how much I love this song! Amazing song! Still loving it in 2020.. This indie band influenced me so much in my life I can't even describe in words.. Amazing band, amazing songs! Love from Bangladesh!
I have a strange memory of this song: One day I discovered this song and loved it so much I kept pressing repeat. Eight hours passed and I had listened to the song continuously while doing nothing else. I actually felt afraid because I COULN'T stop listening. I felt under the song's control. Anyways... eventually the day ended and I finally stopped listening to this song on repeat. Amazing song, I love listening to it and sometimes smiling at the time I couldn't stop listening.
What a lovely metaphorical story song...told in the "Collective" harmonious voice of a group of tunesmiths building a new acoustic island tower on the Fossils of the giants of our musical past's genius. As an old flower child musician composer who grew up in the Gardens of the 60's Woodstock era, it pleases me no end to see fresh new brightly colored blossums growing here in the rich ground of inspiration, watered by the outpouring of appreciation of the sound. This is really nice, really fine.
I remember finding this song two months or so after it came out. I was just starting to date my girlfriend at that time, and this was one of the first songs I learned to play on the guitar. So I teamed up with my brother, who is a much better guitarist than me, and I called my girlfriend on the phone and we played this song and I sang. After two and a half years we broke up. That was at the end of the last year and I haven't found anyone like her. I guess it is also because I still think of her every single day. My emotions are like waves and thoughts are raging in my mind as of what to do: get back with her or let it go. Right now, I think I might make a tower of my own to reach my girl on the moon. And I hope one day she will climb down the rope to meet me half way. And stay. Now that I have whined to everyone who sees this, I will get to work on the tower. *wimp mode off*
It's hard to believe Fossil Collective is just two guys who are multi-instrumentalists. Great harmonizing, they must have one hell of a recording engineer.
More sheer Magic, Drama , and Poignancy than anything you will waste 10 dollars on at the local cineplex. Would LOVE to see this on a giant screen with a huge audience.
I love how the guy does everything to get back to the girl and it seems like its a one sided love until the end it shows she was trying to find her way back to him, too. If you let love go and if its true love it will come back to you at the right time. The time "now" is not the answer. Love happens at the right moment.
A girl I'm falling for, who reminds me of the moon, sent me this song. Needless to say, I'm quite a lucky guy and I can't wait to see her next and enjoy this great song with her
This is like my story of meeting an Angel BEing that did not give up. The level of growth and expansion would not be if he had not come into my life at this momment to share his wisdom patiently with me. Knowing my true Nature he could weld me like the creative-vid was done; ONE piece at a time. Such a message within. I thank you for sending my way today. I am so happy my Angel BEing did not give up on me. I love him eternally. Thanks. XO
Nice. This tune has an ethereal quality that this commenter seldom, if ever, hears in music. "Like" definitely. Brings to mind the 70's tune "Wildfire" for some reason.
wow.. i love this group.. i hope they make it.. the music is more for my 60's generation.. and i'm ancient. but the music is so happy.. i don't know why people don't like happy music anymore.. but music reflects the time it originates from .. maybe this is a sign that times are going to get better now.. love to you guys. i already bought the song. all i can do now is cheer you on. just sayin
I am very supprised !! The sound complies with the sound of a lot of formations i heard during the seventies.... This song, the sound, gives me back that feeling i've lost over the years during my growing up...Amazing!!!
I have played this song like 10 times today for yesterday was the first time I heard it. Bravo! A wonderful fantastic song! Salute! Forgive me if I post more but I am truly loving this song! Taking me on a splendid journey of life! Shhhhhweeeeettttt!!
