Ashley-Lassen is a legend in Ghana's military history, as anyone who knows a little of our Army will confirm. I am so happy that modern technology has given him the chance to set matters straight. This is a historical document of enormous value (in my humble opinion).
Samens you are doing a yeoman’s job…keep bringing these veterans so they walk us through history Av learnt a lot not only from this particular interview but almost all your interviews Av come to learn a lot abt Ghana through your show Thanks sir
I stand to be corrected Samens, but to the best of my knowledge, this distinguished general rather retired as an Air Vice Marshal. He is such a reservoir of knowledge. I wish you had probed him more on his time at the flying training school in Takoradi, and his tenure there as a squadron pilot, flight commander, squadron commander, O/C flying wing and then eventually a station commander. He is so blessed with health.
Very interesting take Sir...I enjoyed every bit of it... 36:54 "we were shouting calling all sort of gods and what not" really got me laughing out loud...
