In most developed countries that I'm familiar with, the private sector is not even allowed in the basic education space. The basic schools are all public. The tertiary level is where the private sector is allowed to participate, sometimes with a little help from the state. And I agree with Sammens, scholarship to study abroad is unnecessary and should be cancelled permanently. It’s a waste of public funds. People who want to study abroad should self-fund or search for scholarships themselves (there’s internet for that).

If the NPP is to go on, I hope, the party will develop a stringent internal process that audits the people who put themselves up for office and present their findings to all and sundry.
