Im almost done with my complete reread of HXH, so i'm almost ready to return to the kitchen to start cooking some more theories and analysis, thanks for your support!
Yo I love the idea that Silent Majority might just be some citizen that’s tired of the royal family. It would definitely explain the ability name. That would be super interesting
My guess is the doll being seen isn't a distraction but a condition. It means the ability cannot be used for stealth assassination. You need at least one "witness" who sees the doll. And if there were only 3 people it would be the killer, the witness and the victim. So the killer would immediately be sus. So that's a pretty difficult condition, which makes the ability powerful.
silent majority being an agent of morena would make so much sense and be so cool!! so far we haven't seen a whole lot of interaction between the higher and lower tiers of the ship, aside from the princes talking to their respective mob bosses. if silent majority is part of the mafia plot it would retroactively be sowing the seeds for the later conflict. also, seeing how powerful and capable silent majority is could help gauge the scale of morena's own ability; if her underlings are able to become that dangerous on their own, it makes her even more of a threat. great vid!!

i liked how you linked the silent majority with the themes of whats going on on the ships and the whole social classes metaphor .. togashi really outdid himself with this arc .. i think it would a bit too obvious if it was yuri .. i would go for longhi since he is a bit more silent.. but your analysis makes total sense

The marionette stands out to me as weird; it might double as a restriction to get around the aura cost of emitting such an powerful attack. This could potentially allow the user to mark a target and have the marionette follow it while invisible for *days* before the trap is activated. There may even be an extra restriction saying that the marionette can only be attached to a non-nen user. Or maybe something bad happens to the user of Silent Majority if the marionette is broken.
out of curiosity, who's your favourite manga-only character? for me, while Tserri and Morena are brilliant characters, those who have appealed to me the most are Bill and Hinrigh. I guess I tend to root for the underdogs? their courage and level-headedness are really beautiful to me. I'm of the opinion that I totally want Hinrigh to join the spiders, even.

For some reason, even though at first glance it appears very unlikely, Ican't shake the feeling it might be Queen Oito. So... here's my admittedly odd reasoning. Motive She wants to protect wobble at all costs. Contradictions 1). The fact it was her guards killed at first. This could be a result of her determining these guards were either untrustworthy. It's likely that is someone were to assassinate Wobble, an inside job would be easiest and least traceable. The remaining guards, although low in numbers, are incredibly loyal, which she is well aware. 2). The fact she can't use nen. There's 2 possibilities for this one. One, is that part of the conditioning on her technique, makes her appear as a non-nen user. The second, is a bit more of a stretch, but there is some precedent for.... She could have awakened her power unconscious, because of her overwhelming fear and desire to protect her child. The silent majority itself could be controlled by an unconscious part of her, which would also fit the fact we don't ever see the user, beyond the mystery aesthetic. Do I think this theory is likely? Nope. It's just something I can't quite shake.
As much as i love HXH (Anime) i really appreciate that Togashi didnt stop in the Story. I dont dig that this is 20+ years of development. Like on god Togashi is a God of Storytelling But the time it takes for it to finally be sawn by us is beyond Imagination. I could be lone with this but HXH has lost my interest (yes, im still watching youtube vids about new chapters). Like at the point we are rn, sucession war. the story is so good but it takes dedication and attention to detail to be fully enjoyed by analysing the details and hints and themes and intricacies and foreshadowing but with the release schdule it impossible as soon as a new chapter drop you would foget everything that happened before ..but i still find myself watching vids because the story is so addicting and im starting to memorize the details..unfortunatlly we are never seeing the end
