One has to hear one's own voice. This video is just to give a feeling of chanting with Prabhupada. Prabhupada would chant with devotees in the temple hall but everyone would hear their own sound. That's called JAPA!
Note: This is NOT the actual time which Prabhupada used to take for chanting one round. This is just the average time which a wakeful person takes to chant one round. One can chant at one's own speed. 7 mins 25 sec (time taken for one round in this video) is NOT THE HARD AND FAST RULE!

Fir the past three days ive woken at 4am for temple services, chatting with other devotees, eating Prasadam and im getting stronger with chanting . I had no beads when i came on Thursday. Doing mala jap with this melodious chanting sound, make me feel like i am sitting and chanting in front of srila prabhupada. All glories to Krishna consciousness movement.
By the mercy of krishna ji and regularly chanting his holy name, i have become more peacefule, stable , blissful. Hare krishna vibration is the treasure of bliss and whoever comes in contact can feel this. The feeling of mala jap ( chanting hare krishna mahamantra) can't be expressed in words however it can be felt only. It teaches us to wipe out the illusion (maya ) from our life but sometimes i get illusion while chanting that everyone walking or working around me in the public or home are carrying hare krishna mala in their hand. And the scene i see is super amazing. I wish the day come soon when each and every heart is purified by the spiritual energy of Krsna. Then there won't be any crimes , no suicides , no degradation of nature, no rape cases, no exploitation, no pollution, no over population and there will be blissful, peaceful, contented, purified souls doing kirtana and living happily.
I have been doing mala jap for 1.5 years and the outcomes are unexpected. I achieved many things that i thinks were not even my karma or were difficult to earn for me. I didn't ask for success .i just chanted the holy name everyday and had faith in krsna.whatever happens , it is temporary. sucess is temporary, our home , relatives, money and whatever we see or do or have in this material word is temporary. Bcz matter degrades sooner or later.
we have this material body , it also degrades. We have got this human life just to revive the love for krsna. and who understands this line simply , won't lament for what is lost.
Krsna says in srimadbhagvat geeta(chapter 18 verse 66):
सर्वधर्मान्परित्यज्य मामेकं शरणं व्रज।
अहं त्वां सर्वपापेभ्यो मोक्षयिष्यामि मा शुचः
Abandon all varieties of dharmas and simply surrender unto Me alone. I shall liberate you from all sinful reactions; do not fear.

I closed my eyes and tried to take experience of Prabhupada's chanting , the moment I closed my eyes , I saw floating islands above the skies , I saw prabhu nityananda and his lotus feet . I know this may sound insane , but I saw the concept of mercy itself. It was lord gaurhari's feet all along .
