@@ranimeRAT Hell if i know. Truth of existence is that everyone is pulled towards something and at least one of those things must be productive. Dont know if there is reason to encourage women into science. They are doing remarkably well in medicine so the time when they believed they cant do difficult brain work is clearly over. Thus they will go into science if they want to. Seems like a good spot in the movement to be. More cooks could only overcook this situation in my opinion.

Every time Sheldon cracks a joke about him being an engineer, he should point out that virtually everything Sheldon uses to make his life easier has been thought out and built by an engineer. He should challenge Sheldon to live a single day without using anything built by an engineer, see how far that would get him.
The script for this scene was well written. Sheldon took that 5 seconds to think of one idea, he owned it, in the most disinterested way possible.

Later on a big hulking Klingon, a wise cracking Trill and a Ferengi answered the Space Phone. Janeway being a woman didn't need someone else to answer it for her s would do it herself.
Not really, look at the episodes again, whenever Kirk went down on away missions with the rest of the senior staff he would leave ensigns in charge rather than Uhura

Well firstly, at the time, Amy and Bernadette were working at separate companies/universities though Amy would later move the university. Second, they never tried to examine the nuance of speaking to boys and girls differently. In all honesty, their attempts probably would have failed no matter what if they had used a gender neutral class but it would have been better to not wait till the end of the episode to consult their two female scientist friends.

Even when they do go into science, they usually go into the "soft sciences" (like Amy and Bernie). The hard sciences like Engineering and physics are dominated by men, even with the rise of programs literally designed to get more women in them. Dr. Jordan Peterson recently referenced a massive study in Scandinavia (where apparently the society is the most "gender egalitarian"). The women actually ended up going into women dominated careers even more, as did the men into male dominated careers. For example, the ratio of men to women engineers was even higher, as was the ratio of women to men nurses. This showed that it's more about interest than "discrimination". Interestingly, in societies where women are more discriminated against- like in the middle east- women tend to go into the STEM careers at an astounding rate, as a way out of those societies. My physics professor who was a female from Turkey told us about this on day 1. As it turns out, when left to their own devices, men and women are more likely to pursue careers based on interest, rather than necessity. James D'Amore also talked about this a few years ago, and unfortunately it got him fired...

Feminists are generally considered to be egalitarian, they simply approach it from a female perspective.
There's a term called "intersectionality" which explains it well.
Essentially: no person is able to focus on every single human rights issue at once, so they approach finding the greater whole of humanity from the perspective they have the most expertise in.
A woman is an expert in being a woman, a black person is an expert on being black, but it all connects to a greater good.
So in theory, feminism is supposed to help men as well
