as someone who is incredibly new to melee, this match has convinced me melee might be the greatest game of all time

Not relevant to the set itself but it’s just real nice to see that HMW is still out here commentating nearly every tourney. Feel like we haven’t had the OGs as much but HMW at least always comes through
HMW actually almost couldn't make it out to collision because his car was having trouble but some generous peeps on twitter helped him out

Moky is like just a notch above Magi and it shows in this match, hell of a set and I don't doubt Magi will crack top 10 any year now.

@@lua5dot1 those are great sets, and great players as well. If only all ultimate escene were like that... But then, you have Sonix (I believe that's the player tag), and Steve users... Which really hurts competitive ultimate.
But anyway, one should focus on the positive, right?
I hope smash 6 is a faster paced, smaller roster game like melee, but with some new mechanics that we’ve never seen before like air smash attacks or super funky specials. Like imagine if one special was going completely invisible, or controlling two characters. Imagine if we had energy bars like traditional fighting games that you could use to activate passive or active abilities like hero. I can appreciate the slower and more methodical fundamental based wins in ultimate but as I’ve been watching more melee I can really appreciate the faster paced play style that leads to such quick turnarounds and comebacks
Magi's Falco is what I imagine my Falco would look like if I didn't suck at this game
Fuckin absurd how top players play these days. Just compare 10 years ago... even a smaller time gap... Not even close. Ridiculous in the best, most exciting way possible. Inspiring players both of them.

considering I've played melee maybe 4 or 5 times in my life and that was back in 2003, I'm sure I would lose to anyone featured in a youtube video. Both these guys could have JV-5 stocked me easily.

She tried at least 3 and I think missed every one lol. It’s not as good for combos, and finishing stocks isn’t really her weakness anyways (she’s finishing stocks just fine).

theres always a small handful of people that show up on every magi video to show their asses, but lately the youtubers uploading these videos have been really good about deleting most of the comments. i asked walt and gimir to do something about it through twitter last year, vgbootcamp + turndownforwalt have been good about it and as of right now, i see no hate comments here, so collision channel seems ontop of it too
