Two things of note here. 1.-Sadly, they got rid of the extra "Oomph" you could give to the last slash of a combo that NMH1 and 2 had, might not be much but I really liked that and it was SO satisfying to do, last slash in NMH3 is very cool but doesn't feel quite right because of it IMO. 2.-The "Final Kill" song on space battle is a bit different, the drop has a slight dealy, for example.
you actually can do the extra oomph, the later you do it the more damage your final blow does, you can tell you did it because the beam will glow brighter

In NMH1-2 he would spin the katana above is head before his final slash, he did this to Helter Skelter before he cut off his head😂🤝
