The word "mee" was originally from "mede". The same happens to "vleermuis", "broer", a "d" disappearing.

Absolutely correct. "mit" is used very similarly in German indeed. I wanted to mention it in the video but then I forgot. There are some differences I think on a higher level, but for A1 students who speak German: "mit(verb)" corresponds to "mee(werkwoord)".

I didn't include that because that's already something for a B1-B2 level, it's a figure of speech and means "That comes in handy."
Situatie: Je wil een nieuwe computer kopen en je ziet online dat de computer een gratis antivirus software pakket heeft. Dan kan je zeggen: "Dat is mooi meegenomen."
